Office Chairs in Major Companies
The selection of office chairs in major companies is diverse, with some companies preferring products with higher cost-effectiveness.

I. Some Major Companies Switch to Cost-Effective Office Chairs Some major companies are no longer blindly pursuing office chairs costing tens of thousands of yuan, but instead opting for products with higher cost-effectiveness. For example, ByteDance plans to replace office chairs in batches at its workplaces in Beijing and Shanghai from August 2023 to the second quarter of the following year, changing from the Humanscale World, originally valued at about 8,000 yuan, to the domestically produced Qingxian Smart S1, which has a public selling price of 2,549 yuan. Prior to this, companies such as DJI, Film Storm, and Dedao had also purchased office chairs from Qingxian Smart. The office chairs purchased by DJI four years ago were the Herman Miller Aeron, which had a retail price of over 10,000 yuan, but now it has also shifted to a more cost-effective option.
II. Features and Development of Qingxian Smart Office Chairs Founded in 2023, Qingxian Smart's founding team mostly has experience in the robotics industry. The founder, Yan Le, previously served as Vice President and CMO of Yunjin, and the core members are mostly from DJI, Yunjin, and Xiaomi. In June 2025, Qingxian released its first dynamic ergonomic chair, the LiberNovo Omni. This chair achieves functions such as waist-back adaptation, spinal stretching, and active ventilation through bionic structures, precision linkages, and three-electric technologies. It has achieved excellent crowdfunding results on both Kickstarter and the Japanese Makuake platform, demonstrating market recognition of its innovative design and high cost-effectiveness.
III. Functional Requirements for Office Chairs Some colleagues from major companies also say that the office chairs provided by their companies have adjustable height and armrest functions, which are very good for taking a nap at noon. This indicates that when choosing office chairs, major companies not only consider price factors but also pay attention to the functionality of office chairs to meet employees' needs in different work scenarios, such as providing a comfortable resting experience during lunch breaks. This functional requirement also prompts office chair manufacturers to continuously engage in technological innovation and product upgrades to provide office chair products that are more ergonomic, comfortable, and practical.
