Longevity Office Chair Materials
The materials of longevity office chairs involve multiple key parts, with different high-quality materials used for each part to ensure durability and comfort.

For the backrest, mesh or high-density sponge materials are common. Mesh backrests are made of high-strength polyester fiber mesh fabric, which forms an elastic grid through a special weaving process. The grid density and the interweaving pattern of the warp and weft threads determine the mechanical properties, allowing for uniform deformation, fitting the human body's curves well, having good resilience, and ensuring breathability through the air circulation channels between the grids. Sponge backrests provide a certain sense of support.
In terms of seat cushions, the internal fillings are mostly molded cotton or slow-rebound sponge. Among them, high-density molded sponge has good resilience, sufficient support, and is not prone to collapse, with a service life much longer than that of ordinary sponge. The outer covering fabrics are mainly cotton and linen, polyester, or abrasion-resistant mesh fabric. Abrasion-resistant mesh fabric is breathable and resistant to pulling, not prone to pilling or damage. High-quality leather fabric is waterproof, stain-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and scratch-resistant, and can be kept in good condition for a long time with proper maintenance.
The base design is mostly five-claw type, with a variety of material options. Ordinary plastic bases have poor toughness and a short service life. Cast iron bases have high hardness, strong load-bearing capacity, are not prone to deformation, have good stability, and are cost-effective, making them the preferred choice for regular office chairs in enterprises. Aluminum alloy bases are lightweight, rust-resistant, corrosion-resistant, have excellent load-bearing performance, and have the longest service life.
The casters usually adopt polyurethane silent materials, which have good toughness, high abrasion resistance, slide smoothly, are not prone to jamming or damage, are suitable for various office floors, and have extremely low wear and tear during long-term use.
The pneumatic rod, as the core component for height adjustment, uses thickened steel in regular products, which has good sealing, smooth lifting and lowering, is not prone to jamming or air leakage, has strong pressure resistance, and has a stable service life.
The frame structure of the support system of mesh office chairs is made of engineering plastic or metal to form a border that tightly stretches and fixes the edges of the mesh. The arc of the border is calculated to match the pressure distribution of the buttocks and thighs when sitting, ensuring the rationality of the initial tension and the final supporting surface.
