Long Office Chair Installation
The installation steps for a long office chair are as follows:

1. Install the chair base and casters
Insert each caster into the assembly holes of the five-pronged chair base one by one, ensuring that each caster is fully embedded and secure. After installation, place the thicker end of the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair base, ensuring that the gas lift is aligned with the center of the chair base to provide a stable foundation for subsequent support.
2. Secure the chassis and seat
Place the chassis on the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the chassis (usually, there will be markings or grooves on the chassis that correspond to the seat). After aligning the four screw holes of the chassis with those of the seat, use a screwdriver to screw each screw in 3-4 turns initially, ensuring that all screws are preliminarily fixed before tightening them one by one to prevent the chassis from tilting or being damaged due to unilateral force. For some models, it may be necessary to first fix the chassis directly to the bottom of the seat with screws, and the order should be adjusted according to the specific structure.
3. Connect the seat and gas lift
Align the seat with the installed chassis with the top of the gas lift and insert it vertically downward into the chassis hole, ensuring that it is inserted all the way and does not wobble. Some designs may require the top of the gas lift to be embedded in a dedicated slot on the chassis, and the operation method should be adjusted according to the actual structure to ensure a secure connection.
4. Install the backrest
Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest installation positions on both sides of the seat cushion, insert them slowly, and ensure they are fully embedded. First, use two screws to pass through from the bottom of the armrest bracket to fix the connection between the bottom of the backrest and the armrest; then, align the installation holes on the back of the backrest with the corresponding holes on the seat bracket, and use two wrenches (or one wrench to hold the nut and the other to turn the screw) to lock the screws in place, ensuring that the backrest is tightly connected to the seat bracket without looseness or abnormal noise.
5. Install the armrests
Press the button below the armrest surface (some models have a spring clip design), align the left and right armrests with the holes on the armrest brackets, and insert them vertically downward until you hear a 'click' sound or can no longer press them down, indicating that the armrests are locked in place. After installation, gently shake the armrests to check if they are firmly fixed.
6. Install the headrest
Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest and press the installation area of the headrest to make it fit against the backrest. Pass a screw through the hole of the headrest fixing clip, align it with the installation hole on the backrest, first screw it in 3-4 turns for preliminary fixation, and then tighten it one by one until it cannot be turned, ensuring that the headrest does not wobble. For some models, it may be necessary to insert the headrest directly into the backrest slot after installing the backrest, and the appropriate method should be selected according to the structure.
Precautions:
- Before installation, check that all accessories are complete to avoid interruption due to missing parts during the process.
- When tightening screws, do it in stages to prevent deformation of components due to excessive unilateral force.
- After installing the gas lift, test the lifting function to ensure smooth operation without jamming.
