Lift Office Chair Installation

Admin October 16, 2026

The installation steps for the lift office chair (taking the C300 second-generation Lite as an example) are as follows:

  1. Install the chair wheels and feet
Align each caster with the mounting hole on the chair feet and press firmly until fully engaged, ensuring each caster is securely installed. After completion, insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair feet, ensuring the metal end of the gas lift faces downward and fits snugly against the chair feet. This step provides the basic support structure for the chair, and it is essential to ensure that the gas lift is vertically aligned with the chair feet to prevent wobbling during subsequent use.

  2. Secure the base and seat
Place the base on the bottom of the seat, align the screw holes, and use the provided screws and tools (such as a Phillips screwdriver) to secure it. Typically, 4-6 screws need to be tightened to ensure a tight and secure connection between the base and the seat. The base is the core component for the chair's load-bearing and adjustment functions, so it is crucial to check that all screws are fully tightened during installation to avoid safety hazards caused by missing or loose screws.

  3. Connect the backrest and seat
Depending on the connection method between the backrest and the seat, choose between screw fixation or snap-fit assembly. If using screw fixation, align the corresponding holes on the backrest and seat, insert screws from the back of the backrest, and tighten them. If using a snap-fit design, align the snaps on the backrest with the slots on the seat and press firmly until a "click" sound is heard, confirming a secure connection. This step forms the upper part of the chair's structure, and it is necessary to check that the backrest is vertical to avoid tilting that could affect the user experience.

  4. Assemble the gas lift and seat
Align the assembled seat part (including the base) vertically with the top of the gas lift and press down slowly until fully inserted. Keep the seat level during insertion to prevent damage to the gas lift or an unstable connection due to tilting. The gas lift is a key component for adjusting the chair's height, so after installation, test the lifting function to ensure it operates smoothly without any jamming or unusual noises.

  5. Install the armrests and headrest
Depending on the design of the armrests and headrest, align them with the designated positions on the seat or backrest (such as armrest holes or headrest slots) and secure them with screws or snap them in directly. During installation, adjust the height and angle of the armrests to a comfortable position, and ensure that the headrest fits snugly against the backrest to provide neck support. This step is the final stage of decoration and functional enhancement, so it is necessary to check that all accessories are properly installed without any loose or exposed screws.

Precautions:

  • It is recommended to install the chair from the bottom up, starting with securing the chair feet and gas lift, and then gradually assembling upwards to ensure a secure connection between all components.
  • If special accessories (such as a footrest) are involved, refer to the specific model's instructions for operation to avoid improper installation that could lead to structural instability.
  • When disassembling, be aware of the difficulty in separating the gas lift from the chair feet. It is advisable to avoid frequent disassembly to prevent damage to the gas lift or the holes in the chair feet.
