Lianping Office Chair Repair

Admin October 22, 2026

The Luojinsen Office Equipment Repair Shop in Lianping County, which previously provided office chair repair services, has been deregistered. If you need repairs, you can refer to the following common faults and solutions to handle them yourself or contact other repair agencies:

1. Stuck Lifting Mechanism The pneumatic rod is the core component that controls the lifting of the chair seat. If the lifting is not smooth or cannot be fixed, it is usually caused by three reasons:

  • Lack of oil in the pneumatic rod: Long-term use causes the internal lubricating oil to dry up. You need to clean the dust on the surface of the pneumatic rod and apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricating oil at the connection (avoid using ordinary engine oil as it easily attracts dust).
  • Dust blockage: Dust entering the interior of the pneumatic rod affects the movement of the piston. You can use a fine brush to clean the gaps in the rod body or use compressed air to blow out the internal dust.
  • Aging of the pneumatic rod: If the height still cannot be fixed after lubrication, it indicates that the internal seals have aged and failed. You need to replace it with a pneumatic rod of the same specification (record the original rod size to avoid mismatched installation).

2. Tilt Malfunction The failure of the backrest adjustment is mostly related to the tilt mechanism:

  • Loose adjustment mechanism: Open the adjustment cover plate at the bottom of the backrest, check if the knobs and connecting bolts are loose, and tighten them to an appropriate torque with an Allen wrench (avoid over-tightening to prevent plastic parts from cracking).
  • Damaged spring: If the backrest cannot be locked or has weak rebound, you need to disassemble the adjustment mechanism to check the internal spring. If the spring is broken or deformed, you need to replace it with a spring of the corresponding specification (match the wire diameter, number of turns, and length of the original spring).

3. Noisy Casters The sliding noise is usually caused by problems with the caster bearings:

  • Dust in the bearings: After disassembling the casters, use a small brush to clean the dust inside the bearings, drip 1-2 drops of light lubricating oil (such as sewing machine oil), and rotate the casters to evenly distribute the lubricating oil.
  • Worn casters: If the surface of the casters has cracks or unevenness, you need to replace them with silent casters (preferably made of nylon, which is more wear-resistant than plastic).

4. Loose Components Long-term use can easily lead to loose connecting bolts:

  • Regular inspection: Use a wrench every month to check the bolts at the connections between the chair seat, armrests, and backrest, and tighten them until there is no obvious wobble (avoid using power tools as they can easily break the bolts).
  • Reinforcement treatment: If the bolt holes are worn and cause looseness, you can insert thin metal sheets or rubber pads between the bolts and the hole walls to increase friction.

5. Hydraulic System Problems The inability of the backrest to stand upright may be related to the screws at the fulcrum of the hydraulic rod:

  • Damaged screws: Disassemble the connection between the backrest and the hydraulic rod and check if the fulcrum screws are stripped or broken. If replacement is required, prefer standard screws (non-standard screws can easily cause secondary damage due to mismatched sizes).
  • Installation and adjustment: When installing new screws, ensure that the screw length matches the movement range of the hydraulic rod. If the screw is too long, you can add a washer at the threaded end to prevent the head of the screw from colliding with the hydraulic rod during extension and retraction.
