Lianping Office Chair Repair
Admin October 11, 2026
Lianping office chair repair requires targeted methods based on specific issues. Here are common faults and repair steps:

1. Repair of Sinking Issues
Sinking in office chairs is usually caused by cylinder failure and can be resolved through the following two methods:
- Using a Hose Clamp: Slide the plastic skirt to the bottom of the cylinder and adjust the chair to the desired height. If the skirt obstructs the operation, invert the chair and remove the base clamp and wheels. Wrap the hose clamp around the cylinder, improve grip by wrapping rubber bands or sanding the cylinder surface, tighten the clamp, and test the height stability.
- Using PVC Pipes: Measure the diameter and length of the cylinder and purchase matching PVC pipes or plastic shower rings. Saw the pipes to create a longitudinal split, fit them over the cylinder, and secure them. Utilize the rigidity of the pipes to restrict cylinder extension and retraction.
2. Repair of Tilt Issues
Tilt issues may arise from abnormal wheels or seat plates:
- Inspect Wheels: If the wheels are bent or damaged, replace the entire set of matching wheel feet. After removing the old wheels, apply lubricant to the base sockets, tap in the new wheels with a rubber mallet, and test stability. If the ground is uneven, adjust the chair placement.
- Inspect Seat Plate: If the wheels are normal but the chair still tilts, check for cracks or deformation in the seat plate and replace it if necessary.
3. Repair of Loose Frames
Prolonged use may cause screws in the seat frame to loosen:
- Use a screwdriver to tighten all screws on the frame, focusing on connection points.
- If the looseness is severe, add washers between the screws and the frame or reinforce the contact surface by gluing metal sheets to enhance structural stability.
4. Repair of Damaged Seat Surfaces
Choose repair methods based on the extent of damage:
- Minor Wear: Apply leather or fabric repair agents multiple times to the worn area, with an interval of 10-15 minutes between applications. Allow to dry and form a protective layer.
- Significant Damage: For leather seat surfaces, cut a leather patch similar in color to the original, adhere it with special glue, and hem the edges. For fabric seat surfaces, cut a patch from the same fabric and sew it along the damaged edge.
5. Repair of Wheels with Poor Rotation
Disassemble the wheels and clean internal hair, dust, and other debris. Use a cotton swab to apply a small amount of lubricant to the axle, reassemble, and test wheel smoothness.
6. Repair of Chair Back Adjustment Failures
- Check for looseness or damage at the connection points of the adjustment mechanism. Tighten screws if loose and replace parts if broken.
- Apply lubricant to the moving parts of the adjustment mechanism (such as pivots and springs) to reduce friction and restore adjustment functionality.
