Leisure Office Chair Installation

Admin October 16, 2026

The installation of a leisure office chair generally follows the steps below, with specific details potentially varying slightly depending on the model:

Step 1: Check Components
Upon receiving the goods, first count all components to ensure completeness. Common components include the backrest, headrest, armrests, five-star base, gas lift, seat plate, base plate, connecting brackets, and various screws (such as long screws, short screws, No. 3 screws, etc.). Some models may have a simplified number of components, for example, only four basic parts, or variations in screw specifications (such as seven thick screws, six short screws, etc.). If any components are missing or damaged, contact the merchant promptly for replacements.

Step 2: Install the Five-Star Base and Wheels
Insert the five universal wheels into the five holes of the five-star base respectively, ensuring the wheels are securely installed and can rotate flexibly. Pay attention to the consistency of the wheel direction in this step to avoid obstruction of chair movement after installation.

Step 3: Insert the Gas Lift
Vertically insert the gas lift into the central hole of the five-star base, ensuring the bottom of the gas lift is fully flush with the five-star base. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the chair's height, so it must be kept vertical during installation to avoid instability during subsequent use due to tilting.

Step 4: Secure the Base Plate and Seat Plate
Align the base plate (usually made of metal or plastic) with the installation holes on the bottom of the seat plate, and use four long screws to secure the base plate to the seat plate. Pay attention to the tightness of the screws in this step; too loose may cause the base plate to loosen, while too tight may damage the seat plate or base plate.

Step 5: Connect the Backrest and Seat Plate
Connect the backrest and seat plate using connecting brackets (metal connectors). Fix one end of the bracket to the bottom of the backrest and the other end to the rear of the seat plate, tightening with screws (usually short screws). Ensure the angle between the backrest and seat plate meets the design requirements in this step to avoid tilting or wobbling of the backrest after installation.

Step 6: Install the Armrests
Align the armrests with the installation holes on both sides of the seat plate, and use No. 3 screws to secure the armrests to the frame (metal brackets on the sides of the seat plate). Pay attention to the height symmetry of the armrests during installation to avoid uneven heights on the left and right. Some models may require secondary reinforcement with short or fine screws.

Step 7: Detail Adjustments and Finalization
Some chairs require detail processing after installation, such as lightly tapping covers (such as screw covers, decorative covers) with a small hammer to make them fully embedded, or adjusting the height and angle of the headrest. After installation, comprehensively check the tightness of all components to ensure the chair has no looseness or abnormal noises.

Precautions:

  1. Read the instruction manual carefully before installation, as the installation sequence or screw specifications may vary among different models.
  2. Control the force when using tools to avoid scratching the chair surface or damaging components.
  3. If resistance is encountered during installation (such as screws that cannot be screwed in), stop the operation and check if the holes are aligned to avoid damaging components by forcing installation.
