Leather Office Chair Production
The production process of leather office chairs mainly includes raw material selection and inspection, cutting, sewing and frame making, leather treatment, and assembly.

Raw material selection and inspection: The factory purchases initially processed leather rolls. Common types of leather used for office chairs include full-grain leather, corrected-grain leather, and composite leather. After entering the factory, these leather rolls undergo strict quality inspections to check physical properties such as color uniformity, thickness, and softness to ensure they meet production requirements.
Cutting, sewing, and frame making: Experienced sewing workers use industrial sewing machines to stitch the leather into three-dimensional seat covers, backrest covers, and armrest covers. The stitching is required to be neat and firm, with the patterns and textures at the seams naturally aligned. The sewn leather covers undergo preliminary inspections. At the same time, the metal frames of the chairs are being made. The steel undergoes processes such as cutting, pipe bending, welding, and grinding to form a sturdy main structure. The welding points need to be smoothly ground. After that, the metal frames go through pre-treatment (such as degreasing and rust removal) and electrostatic powder coating processes.
Leather treatment: Taking the production process of automotive leather seats as an example, fresh cowhide is coated with salt to lock in moisture and prevent decay. After being sent to the leather processing factory, it is first manually inspected to remove excess fat. Then it is placed in a washing machine and cleaned with detergent and depilatory agents. After that, it is squeezed out of water by a pressing machine and then tanned in a drum. Chromium-based materials are added to make it more durable. The tanned cowhide is squeezed out of water and turns blue (blue hide). The blue hide is ground to a uniform thickness by a machine and then sent into a dyeing vat with dyeing agents and fatliquoring agents. After being squeezed dry and left to stabilize its properties, it is cut. Finally, it is embossed with a special machine, a protective layer is applied on the surface, and it is ironed flat before being sent for sewing. The leather treatment for office chairs may be adjusted according to requirements on this basis.
Assembly: The welded frame is added with particleboard and foam. The seat is wrapped with leather. After installation, plastic cover plates are screwed on. The base, support rods, and support disks are attached. A hydraulic rod for the lifting valve seat is installed, which can control the chair's lifting and 360-degree rotation. Finally, an aluminum base and casters are installed, and the headrest and armrest parts are attached.
