Leather Office Chair Processing
The processing of leather office chairs involves six core steps: raw material preparation, design and planning, cutting and sewing, frame production, padding and assembly, and quality inspection.

Raw Material Preparation and Inspection
Before processing, materials must be strictly selected: Leather materials include full-grain leather, corrected-grain leather, or composite leather, which must pass physical performance tests (such as color uniformity, thickness, softness, tensile strength, abrasion resistance, etc.) to ensure compliance with industry standards. Supporting materials like high-density rebound foam must provide good support, metal frames must be made of high-strength steel, and gas cylinders must pass safety certifications. Some factories prioritize using the same piece of leather to cut components to minimize color differences.Design and Planning
The chair shape is designed based on ergonomic principles, determining key dimensions such as seat depth, backrest curvature, and armrest height, while also considering market aesthetic demands. For example, S-shaped steel springs can be embedded in the seat to provide flexible support, and iron rods can be used to reinforce the frame horizontally to enhance stability.Cutting and Sewing
Leather must be precisely cut according to design drawings, avoiding natural defects (such as scars, wrinkles) to optimize material utilization. The sewing process uses industrial sewing machines, requiring uniform stitching and natural texture alignment at seams to form three-dimensional components (such as seat covers and backrest covers). Some high-end products adopt double-stitch lock-edge techniques to enhance durability.Frame Production
The metal frame is formed through cutting, bending, welding, and polishing processes. Weld points must be polished until smooth to avoid scratching the leather. During pre-treatment, the surface is cleaned through degreasing and rust removal processes, followed by electrostatic powder coating to form a wear-resistant layer and extend service life.Padding and Assembly
The cut foam cushions are bonded to the leather and shaped through heat pressing or manual molding to fix the seat and backrest curves. Subsequently, the leather components are connected to the metal frame, and accessories such as casters and gas cylinders are installed. Special attention is paid to checking the firmness of connections and the smooth operation of gas cylinder adjustments.Quality Inspection
Finished products must pass multi-dimensional inspections: visual checks for flaws or damage on the leather surface; structural load-bearing tests simulating long-term use scenarios (such as static pressure tests and dynamic fatigue tests); and assessments of caster rotation flexibility and gas cylinder safety, which must all meet standards. Only products that pass all inspections can be packaged and shipped.
The entire processing flow emphasizes a balance between material performance, structural safety, and human comfort, with certain details (such as the use of single pieces of leather and spring reinforcement designs) significantly enhancing product quality.
