Leather Cover for Office Chair
The production process of leather covers for office chairs is relatively complex, involving multiple meticulous steps, and the customized cases and market prices also have their own characteristics.

Production Process
- Frame Construction: Workers first bend square steel tubes into square base pad frames with rounded corners at the four corners. Then, they weld the support steel plates and the frame openings, and hook S-shaped springs onto the frame and connect them to the support steel bars. At the same time, they weld and polish the chair armrest interfaces and backrest to provide a sturdy metal frame foundation for the subsequent leather wrapping.
- Leather Cutting: Black leather is used to make the outer parts of the chair. Plastic templates for parts such as the headrest and armrests are placed on top of the leather, and a utility knife is used to cut out the leather as the surface material. After that, the leather is glued onto a relatively hard foam cushion, and a slightly larger foam pad is cut out to ensure that the leather can be smoothly wrapped around the foam.
- Seat Cushion and Backrest Production: When making the seat cushion and backrest of the office chair, soft and fluffy foam pads are used. They are cut into connected rectangular shapes. After marking on the leather, they are pleated and sewn to make the seat cushion and backrest both soft and well-fitted to the human body curves.
- Overall Assembly: The metal frame surface is wrapped with foam pads, and the sewn leather cover is placed on top for decoration. Screws are used to fix the cover plates and the frame. Then, the adjustable height armrests, hydraulic rods, pneumatic rods, and seat bottom support rods are assembled with the metal base. Finally, the seat wheels are installed, and the headrest and armrests are inserted to complete the installation of the entire leather cover for the office chair.
Customized Cases
Take the customization of the seat cover for the Sanyang Jiumeifu chair as an example. It adopts a full black modification plan with embossed leather. The waterproof performance is okay, but a little water will remain on the seams. The lumbar support is installed after being moved backward. The front is flat and will not slide forward. However, moving the lumbar support backward will slightly affect the space in the toilet area. Blowing it with a hot air blower will make it sag a bit, which may affect the placement of helmets (small helmets generally do not have much of an impact).
