Leather Office Chair Assembly

The assembly of a leather office chair should be carried out step by step. The core process includes preparing tools, installing the base and casters, the gas lift, the seat chassis, and finally connecting the seat to the gas lift. Different models may have variations in details.

I. Preparation Before Assembly Count the components and prepare the tools. Standard office chair components include a five-star base, 5 casters, a gas lift, a control tray (chassis), a seat (cushion), a backrest, armrests, and a screw package. Regarding tools, manufacturers usually provide an Allen wrench. Self-prepared tools should be selected according to the screw type, such as a Phillips/flat-head screwdriver or a low-torque electric screwdriver, a rubber mallet (for installing the gas lift), and a tape measure (for auxiliary adjustment). If professional tools are lacking, pliers can be used as a temporary substitute for the wrench, but operate carefully to avoid stripping the screws.

II. Core Assembly Steps

1. Install the Five-Star Base and Casters Place the five-star base face up on a flat surface. Take one caster, align its metal rod with the base hole, and press vertically until you hear a 'click' sound indicating it is securely fastened. If it is a threaded type, screw it in clockwise. After installation, lift the base slightly and shake it gently to check if the casters are firmly attached.
2. Install the Gas Lift Ensure the center hole of the five-star base is facing up. Remove the plastic protective cap from the top of the gas lift (if any), and insert the thicker end vertically into the center hole, pressing firmly to the bottom.
3. Install the Seat Chassis (Tray) Flip the seat cushion so that the bottom is facing up. Remove the pre-installed screws and align the tray with the holes (note that the side with the lift control lever is the front). First, manually screw in all the screws loosely, then use the 'diagonal tightening method': first tighten two screws on the diagonal, then tighten the other two, repeating this process two to three times to gradually tighten all the screws simultaneously, ensuring the tray is evenly stressed and not skewed.
4. Connect the Seat to the Gas Lift Lift the seat with the installed tray, align the center hole of the tray with the top of the gas lift, and smoothly slide it down vertically.

III. Assembly Supplements for Other Models

• Zhufu Bow-shaped P Model Leather Chair: First, clean the screw holes on the seat cushion, and use Allen screws to fix the lower frame to both sides of the seat cushion. When installing the connecting rod at the bottom of the lower frame, pull it firmly to align with the holes. Align the armrests with the holes on the seat cushion and backrest, and fix them with Allen screws. The headrest bracket is tightened to the backrest iron plate through a triangular cover, and finally, the headrest is inserted.
• 908/909 Office Chairs: Insert 5 casters into the five-claw base and then install the gas lift. The backrest bracket is fixed with 4 M625mm screws, and the backrest is connected to the tray with 3 M820mm screws. After inserting the gas lift into the tray hole, install the left and right armrests with 2 M825mm screws each, fix the headrest with an M625mm screw, and finally, put on 2 leather rings on the footrest.
