Leader's Office Chair
Admin October 17, 2026
The office chair used by leaders is commonly known as an executive chair or a big and tall office chair, falling within the broad category of office chairs. It is primarily used in managerial offices and senior executive offices in office buildings.

Structural and Functional Design
The design of an executive chair centers on ergonomics, with components including casters, a five-star base, a gas lift, a chassis, a seat, armrests, a backrest, and a headrest. Its functions have continuously evolved with technological advancements:
- Basic Functions: Height adjustment is achieved through the gas lift, while the five-star base and casters provide mobility. The seat and backrest support the human sitting posture.
- Advanced Functions: Some high-end models (such as the Livorno S02) integrate ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The headrest, backrest, and leg rest support electric adjustment, equipped with airbags to massage the back and a lumbar heating module to alleviate fatigue from prolonged sitting.
- Smart Trends: The industry is evolving towards smart monitoring and automatic adjustment. For example, sensors can monitor sitting posture and dynamically adjust support intensity.
Fabric and Material Selection
The fabric of an executive chair directly affects comfort and durability:
- Leather/PU Leather: Genuine leather feels soft but requires regular maintenance. PU leather is easy to clean but has slightly weaker breathability. Scratch-resistant leather is highly durable and suitable for households with pets.
- Fabric Types: Linen velvet or mesh fabric offers excellent breathability and resilience, suitable for prolonged use, but is more challenging to clean.
Key Considerations for Purchase
For prolonged sitting, the core positioning of an executive chair is "relaxation" rather than merely lumbar support. Key parameters to focus on include:
- Recline Angle and Footrest: A recline angle of over 150 degrees approaches a nap position, while over 160 degrees is close to lying flat. The footrest design should be synchronized with the recline to prevent leg suspension.
- Seat Structure: Ordinary foam seats are comfortable initially but lose support over time. Spring-loaded seats are more durable, while stuffed with polyester fiber offers softness but weaker support.
- Size Fit: The recommended seat depth is 44-50 cm. Shorter users should prioritize 44-48 cm to fully occupy the seat, while larger users need over 50 cm. Seats wider than 55 cm are considered oversized and should be chosen based on available space.
- Leather Maintenance: Genuine leather should avoid direct sunlight and sharp scratches. PU leather can be wiped with a damp cloth regularly. Scratch-resistant leather is resistant to scratches but should be protected from oil stains.
