Lazy Office Chair Tutorial

Admin October 22, 2026

The installation of a lazy office chair should follow the three steps of 'preparation-execution-inspection'. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Preparation Before Installation

  1. Check Components: Verify the presence of armrests, armrest straps, leg frames, support frames, screw packs, anti-slip strips, and scratch guards. Inspect the chair frame and components for any damage or scratches, and contact the merchant immediately for replacements if any issues are found.
  2. Prepare Tools: Basic hand tools (screwdriver, wrench, pliers) are sufficient, but for efficiency, consider using a 12V/3.6V cordless electric screwdriver.
  3. Choose a Location: Operate in a flat, stable, and spacious area (such as the center of a living room) to avoid instability caused by uneven or soft ground.

II. General Installation Steps (Taking a computer chair as an example)

  1. Install Casters and Base: Align the swivel casters vertically with the holes in the five-star base, press firmly until you hear a 'click', and confirm they are securely fastened.
  2. Install the Lift Rod and Tray: Insert the pneumatic lift rod into the center hole of the five-star base, then attach the seat tray (connected to the bottom of the seat cushion) to the top of the lift rod.
  3. Install the Backrest and Armrests:
    • Align the backrest bracket with the holes on the back of the seat cushion and temporarily secure it with screws.
    • When installing the armrests on both sides, pay attention to the left and right directions, and temporarily secure them with screws without fully tightening them.
Efficiency Tip: Invert the seat cushion onto an empty cardboard box to make the screw holes face upwards for easier installation and reduced effort.
  4. Overall Assembly: Lift the base and insert the top of the lift rod into the gas rod hole at the bottom of the seat cushion to ensure a secure connection.
  5. Install Accessories: Follow the instructions to install the headrest or other adjustable components. If adjusting the height or angle, confirm that the buckles or knobs are flexible.

III. Installation Points for Special Types (Such as Rocking Chairs/Lazy Sofa Chairs)

  1. Anti-slip Treatment: Attach anti-slip strips to the bottom of metal leg frames to prevent sliding and tipping.
  2. Connect Leg Frames and Chair Covers: Temporarily connect the leg frames to the chair covers (or the inner frame of the fabric cover) with screws, and tighten all screws uniformly after they are in place for easy alignment adjustments.
  3. Install Support Frames: Secure horizontal or diagonal reinforcing rods with nuts, following the principle of 'positioning first, then tightening' to ensure the frame is square and free of looseness.
  4. Protect the Floor: Attach scratch guards (plastic or silicone covers) to the ends of the leg frames, distinguishing between front and back directions to avoid affecting stability.

Tip: Beginners are advised to follow video tutorials for operation. After installation, check that all components are secure, especially the screw connections and the function of the lift rod, to ensure there is no looseness or abnormal noise before use.
