Kuwait Office Chair
Admin October 09, 2026
Exporting office chairs to Kuwait requires obtaining TIR certification (also known as COC certification). The certification cycle is approximately 2 weeks, and it is necessary to prepare 9 documents and complete 6 process steps.

9 Documents Required
- Product Test Report: Must be issued by a qualified laboratory, proving that the office chairs comply with relevant Kuwait standards (such as key indicators like safety and environmental protection), covering test contents such as material composition, structural strength, and limits of harmful substances.
- Registration Application Form: Fill in basic information about the enterprise and product, including enterprise name, address, product model, specifications, etc. Ensure that the information is complete and consistent with the actual goods.
- Scanned Copy of Registration Certificate: If the enterprise already has relevant registration qualifications (such as ISO certification), a scanned copy should be provided as supporting evidence.
- Inspection Application Form: Specify the inspection time, location, and contact information for applying to the issuing authority for on-site inspection.
- Declaration of Conformity: Signed by the enterprise, declaring that the product is completely consistent with the test report and registration information, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
- Product Photos: Clearly show the overall appearance of the office chairs and key components (such as armrests, wheels, adjustment mechanisms, etc.), facilitating the issuing authority to verify product characteristics.
- Packaging Box Photos: Display the appearance of the packaging box, markings (such as shipping marks, warning signs), and fixing methods, proving that the packaging complies with transportation and certification requirements.
- Packing List: List in detail the quantity, specifications, gross weight/net weight, etc., of the goods in each box, which must be completely consistent with the actual goods.
- Invoice: Provide a commercial invoice, indicating the value of the goods, quantity, trade terms (such as FOB, CIF), etc., as a trade document.
6 Steps in the Certification Process
- Product Testing: Send office chair samples to a qualified laboratory for safety and environmental protection tests according to Kuwait standards and obtain a qualified report.
- TER Registration Application: Submit documents such as the test report and registration application form to the issuing authority to apply for enterprise and product registration.
- Document Review: The issuing authority reviews the completeness and accuracy of the documents. If they do not pass, modifications must be made and resubmitted; if they pass, a fee notice will be issued.
- TIR Application: Apply to the issuing authority for TIR certification with documents such as a scanned copy of the TER certificate, packing list, and invoice.
- Inspection Arrangement: The issuing authority issues an inspection notice and sends personnel to the designated location to check the consistency between the product and documents, as well as packaging markings.
- Certificate Issuance: After the inspection passes, the issuing authority first issues a draft TIR certificate for confirmation. If there are no errors, the original certificate will be issued.
Notes: All documents must be in English or Arabic versions. During the inspection step, it is necessary to ensure that the product is completely consistent with the documents; otherwise, certification failure or delay may result.
