Knob Under Office Chair
The knob under an office chair typically serves functions such as adjusting the backrest's elasticity or range, adjusting the chair's height, and locking or unlocking.

Adjusting the backrest's elasticity or range: The knob under an office chair can control the range and elasticity of the backrest's recline by rotation. When a user tightens the knob, the range of the chair's recline decreases, while the rebound elasticity increases. This means the backrest provides stronger support, suitable for work scenarios requiring a relatively upright sitting posture. Conversely, if the knob is loosened slightly, the range of the chair's recline increases, and the rebound elasticity decreases, making the backrest softer and providing more flexible support for users during rest or relaxation. Some knobs are designed more meticulously; rotating clockwise hardens the backrest, further enhancing support to meet users' higher demands for lumbar support; rotating counterclockwise softens the backrest, allowing users to adjust their sitting posture more freely.
Adjusting the chair's height: The knob under an office chair is connected to a gas lift, which contains high-pressure nitrogen gas inside. When a user rotates the knob, the piston inside the gas lift starts working, using pressure differences to raise or lower the chair, thereby adjusting its height. This design allows users to flexibly adjust the chair's height according to their own height, the height of the work desk, and personal comfort, ensuring they can maintain a correct sitting posture during work and reduce physical fatigue and discomfort.
Locking or unlocking function: Some knobs under office chairs have a locking or unlocking function. Pushing the lever inward locks the chair, fixing its current state. For example, after a user adjusts the chair's height and backrest angle, pushing the lever inward prevents the chair from moving or changing angles unexpectedly during use, ensuring stability and safety. Pulling the lever outward unlocks the chair, allowing users to make various adjustments again to meet different usage needs.
