Jinniu Office Chair Assembly

Admin October 10, 2026

The assembly of the Jinniu office chair can be carried out according to the following steps:

Pre-assembly Preparation

  1. Inventory the Components: In a well-lit, spacious, and flat area, take out all items and arrange them by category. Typically, there are a five-star base, five casters, a gas lift, a seat plate, a seat, a backrest, armrests, a bag of screws, and installation tools. Carefully check against the instruction manual or packaging list to ensure nothing is missing.
  2. Prepare the Tools: Essential tools are usually provided by the manufacturer, such as an Allen wrench. It's also a good idea to have your own screwdrivers (Phillips/flat-head) or an electric screwdriver (set to low torque), a rubber mallet, a tape measure, etc. If you don't have professional tools, a suitable pair of pliers can temporarily replace a wrench, but be careful not to strip the screws.

Core Assembly Steps

  1. Install the Five-star Base and Casters: Place the five-star base with its front side up on the ground. Align the metal rods of the casters with the holes in the base and press down vertically until you hear a 'click' sound indicating they are securely fastened. If they are screw-in types, tighten them clockwise. After installation, lift the base slightly and shake it gently to check for firmness.
  2. Install the Gas Lift: Ensure the center hole of the five-star base is facing upwards. Insert the thicker end of the gas lift vertically into the center hole and press down firmly until it is fully inserted into the bottom. Some gas lifts have plastic protective caps at the top, which need to be removed before installation.
  3. Install the Seat:
    • Attach the Seat Plate: Flip the seat cushion over so that its bottom is facing upwards and place it steadily. Locate the pre-installed screw holes on the bottom, remove the pre-installed screws. Align the seat plate with the holes, distinguish the front and back directions (the side with the height adjustment lever is the front), initially screw in all the screws by hand, and then gradually tighten them using the 'diagonal tightening method'.
    • Connect the Seat to the Gas Lift: Lift the seat with the attached seat plate, align the center hole of the seat plate with the top of the gas lift, and press down gently and vertically until it is fully embedded. You will hear a 'click' sound indicating it is locked. For chairs with adjustable tilt functions, install the tilt control handle simultaneously.
  4. Connect the Backrest and Armrests: The backrest installation can be either pre-assembled (adjust the angle to vertical) or separate (fix it to the metal bracket at the back of the seat with screws). When installing the armrests, align them with the edge holes of the base, use a screwdriver to drill the screw holes slightly or try screwing in the screws, align the hole on the back with the hole on the armrest, place the backrest on the inner side, and use medium-sized screws to secure them.
  5. Install Additional Components: Insert the headrest rod into the reserved hole at the top of the backrest and rotate it to the appropriate height. Attach the lumbar support to the middle of the backrest using Velcro or buckles.

Post-installation Inspection and Adjustment

  1. Inspection: Shake the chair to test its structural stability. Check whether the height adjustment, tilt, and rotation functions are normal. Verify that no screws are exposed and that the wheels are firmly fixed. If there are any abnormalities, tighten or adjust them immediately.
  2. Adjustment: Adjust the tilt tension of the backrest, the height of the headrest, and the width of the armrests according to your personal preferences. Regularly check the tightness of the screws (recommended once a month).
