Jiangjin Office Chair Installation

Admin October 14, 2026

The installation of office chairs in Jiangjin can be carried out according to the following steps, and the operation details need to be adjusted according to the specific model:

1. Inventory of Parts and Tool Preparation Before installation, check each component one by one against the instruction manual list. Common components include chair legs (five-star or four-legged), gas lift (height adjustment column), seat, backrest, armrests, headrest (for some models), casters, screw pack, and instruction manual. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact after-sales service immediately. For tools, prepare a Phillips screwdriver, an adjustable wrench (a hex wrench may be required for some models), a rubber mallet (for gently tapping the clips), and scissors (for opening packages).

2. Install Chair Legs and Gas Lift

  • If the chair legs are five-star, first insert the five casters into the five ends of the five-star legs respectively to ensure stability; if the chair legs are pre-installed with casters, simply place the chair legs flat on the ground and ensure the center hole is facing upwards.
  • Insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair legs and press gently until it is fully embedded. Pay attention to the installation direction of the dust cover at the bottom of the gas lift (for some models, the thicker end of the pressure lift rod with holes should be connected to the five-star legs).

3. Secure the Seat

  • Align the mounting hole at the bottom of the seat with the top of the gas lift and press down slowly until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating that the clip is locked.
  • For chairs with adjustable tilt, install the tilt control handle simultaneously (usually located on the right side of the seat); for some models, you need to first remove the screws under the seat cushion, install the tray that controls the height adjustment mechanism at the bottom of the seat cushion, and then connect the tray to the pressure lift rod.

4. Connect the Backrest and Armrests

  • Backrest Installation: There are two types: pre-installed and separate. For the pre-installed type, adjust the backrest angle to vertical; for the separate type, use screws to fix the backrest to the metal bracket at the rear of the seat.
  • Armrest Installation: Align the screw holes on both sides of the seat and tighten them with the matching screws. Pay attention to the symmetry of the left and right armrests to avoid tilting.

5. Install Additional Components

  • Headrest: Insert its rod into the reserved hole at the top of the backrest and rotate it to the appropriate height and secure it.
  • Lumbar Support: Fix it to the middle of the backrest with Velcro or clips (if equipped).

6. Post-Installation Inspection and Adjustment

  • Structural Stability: Shake the chair to test if the connections are loose.
  • Functional Normality: Check if the height adjustment, tilt, and rotation are smooth.
  • Safety Details: Ensure that no screws are exposed and the wheels are firmly fixed.
  • Personalized Adjustment: Adjust the tilt force of the backrest, the height of the headrest, and the width of the armrests according to your usage habits. It is recommended to check the tightness of the screws once a month to extend the service life.
