Install Office Chair
The steps for assembling an office chair are as follows:

Check the Components
After receiving the office chair parts, conduct a comprehensive check. Typically, this includes the backrest, headrest, armrests, five-star base, decorative cover (only for steel bases), screws (such as 7 thick screws, 6 short screws, etc.), and wheels. It is recommended to arrange all components by category to avoid omissions or confusion. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact the merchant promptly for replacements.Attach the Five-Star Base and Wheels
Align the five wheels with the slots on the five-star base and press firmly until fully embedded. Ensure the wheels are securely attached to prevent them from falling off during use. Some wheels may have brake functions; adjust their direction according to the design (e.g., brake wheels facing forward or backward).Insert the Gas Cylinder
Vertically insert the gas cylinder (pneumatic rod) into the central hole of the five-star base, ensuring full contact at the bottom. The gas cylinder is the core component for adjusting the chair's height, so choose a qualified product. If the gas cylinder does not indicate its weight capacity, refer to the chair's manual or consult the merchant.Secure the Base Plate and Seat
Align the base plate (the component connecting the seat to the gas cylinder) with the slots on the bottom of the seat and secure it with 4 long screws. Tighten the screws until they are snug but avoid over-tightening to prevent stripping. Some chair base plates may have adjustment buttons (e.g., for recline tension); confirm their function directions before installation.Connect the Backrest and Seat
Choose the installation method based on the backrest design:
- Bracket-Fixed Type: Align the backrest with the brackets on the back of the seat, adjust the angle according to markings like โblack fabric direction,โ and secure it with screws. Ensure the screws pass through the corresponding holes in the brackets and backrest.
- Pre-Installed Screw Type: First, insert the screws into the reserved holes on the seat, then place the backrest in position and tighten the screws as indicated by the arrows. You may need to slightly flex the backrest to align the holes during installation.
Install the Decorative Cover and Armrests
Align the decorative cover (for steel bases only) with the top of the five-star base and press gently until the clips secure it. Do not apply excessive force to avoid damaging the clips. If the chair has armrests, use short screws to secure them according to the screw holes on the sides of the seat, ensuring symmetry.Final Inspection and Adjustment
After assembly, check that all screws are tight, the wheels rotate smoothly, and the gas cylinder lifts and lowers without issue. Adjust the chair's height while sitting to ensure your feet are flat on the ground and your back is supported by the backrest. If any abnormalities are found (e.g., wobbling, unusual noises), recheck the assembly steps.
