I-shaped Office Chair Installation
The installation of an I-shaped office chair usually proceeds from the bottom up. You can refer to the following steps:

Pre-installation Preparation Organize the tools and check the components. Common tools include a Phillips screwdriver, an adjustable wrench (a hex wrench may be required for some models), a rubber mallet (for gently tapping the clips), and scissors (for opening the packaging). Check each component against the instruction manual's list to ensure nothing is missing or damaged.
Specific Installation Steps
Install the Chair Base and Gas Lift Place the chair base flat on the ground, ensuring the central hole faces upwards. Insert the gas lift vertically into the central hole and press gently until it is fully embedded. Pay attention to the installation direction of the dust cover at the bottom of the gas lift (usually marked with 'UP' or an arrow). If the connection between the gas lift and the chair base is loose, gently tap it with a rubber mallet to secure it.
Secure the Seat Align the mounting holes at the bottom of the seat with the top of the gas lift and press down slowly until you hear a 'click', indicating that the clip has locked. For chairs with adjustable recline, install the recline control handle simultaneously, usually located on the right side of the seat, and tighten the screws with a screwdriver.
Connect the Backrest and Armrests
- Backrest Installation: There are two methods. For pre-assembled backrests (already connected to the seat via hinges), adjust the angle to vertical. For separate backrests, use screws to fix the backrest to the metal bracket at the rear of the seat, tightening with an adjustable wrench or hex wrench.
- Armrest Installation: Align the screw holes on both sides of the seat and tighten them with the provided screws, ensuring the left and right armrests are symmetrical. If the armrests are height-adjustable, install the adjustment buttons simultaneously and test their flexibility.
Install Additional Components
- Headrest Installation: Insert the rod of the headrest into the reserved hole at the top of the backrest, rotate to the desired height, and press gently to secure it.
- Lumbar Support Installation (if applicable): Attach it to the middle of the backrest using Velcro or clips, adjusting it to fit the curve of your lower back.
Post-installation Inspection
- Structural Stability: Shake the seat and backrest to ensure there is no looseness or unusual noise.
- Functional Normality: Test the gas lift's height adjustment, recline adjustment, armrest adjustment, and other functions for smooth operation.
- Safety Details: Check that the screws are tightened, the clips are locked, and the edges are smooth without burrs.
- User Experience: Adjust the headrest height, lumbar support position, and recline angle according to your personal preferences.
Precautions Avoid using excessive force during installation to prevent component deformation. If the clips are difficult to insert, use a rubber mallet to assist in gently tapping them. If the instruction manual does not match the actual components, contact after-sales service to confirm the model before proceeding.
