Hydraulic Office Chair Testing
Hydraulic office chair testing mainly includes five-claw static pressure testing, rotation endurance testing, and various performance tests specified by national standards, aiming to comprehensively evaluate the quality and safety of office chairs.

Five-claw static pressure testing: This test is carried out using an office chair five-claw static pressure testing machine. Through a hydraulic or mechanical system, a static load is gradually applied to the five-claw structure, while sensors are used to monitor the deformation, displacement, and load-bearing capacity of the five claws in real time. This test can accurately measure the static load-bearing capacity and strength of the five claws, ensuring that they can withstand the weight of the human body and possible additional pressure during actual use, thereby safeguarding the safety of users.
Rotation endurance testing: An office chair rotation endurance testing machine is used to simulate the rotation action of a human body in a sitting position. A motor drives a turntable to rotate back and forth at a set frequency, while a hydraulic system applies a vertical load to the seat surface. Through long-term, high-frequency rotation testing, the rotation endurance of the office chair can be evaluated, and it can be determined whether the rotating components can remain stable during long-term use, avoiding problems such as poor rotation or jamming.
Performance tests specified by national standards:
- Gas spring safety testing: The gas spring must pass the BIFMA standard test. During a static pressure test of 1100N, there should be no rupture or deformation, ensuring the safety of the gas spring when adjusting the height.
- Seat surface load-bearing capacity testing: The seat surface should be able to withstand a vertical pressure of at least 1000N. After 50,000 simulated sitting pressure cycles, there should be no serious damage or loss of elasticity, ensuring that the seat surface can provide comfortable support for users over a long period.
- Adjustment function testing: Functions such as height adjustment and backrest angle adjustment must meet the adjustment range and stability requirements specified by national standards, ensuring that users can conveniently and stably adjust the various parameters of the office chair.
- Material abrasion resistance testing: The fabric should not show significant damage or fading after more than 20,000 friction cycles, extending the service life of the office chair.
- Caster performance testing: The rolling resistance of the casters on a flat surface should meet specific values, and they should have a certain load-bearing capacity and abrasion resistance to ensure smooth movement of the office chair.
- Metal part rust prevention testing: After a salt spray test for a certain duration, the surface rust degree should be within the specified grade, preventing metal parts from rusting and affecting appearance and service life.
- Overall stability testing: By simulating the stress conditions in different usage scenarios, such as in a side-tipping test, the chair should be able to maintain balance and not tip over, ensuring the safety of users.
- Armrest lateral force testing: The armrests should be able to withstand a lateral thrust of 500N without loosening or breaking, ensuring the stability of the armrests.
