Hunan Saving Office Chairs
Hunan Province promotes the conservation of office chairs mainly through three aspects: government practices, corporate participation, and policy regulations.

I. Government Practices: Repair and Reuse to Reduce Procurement Costs
The General Office of the Hunan Provincial Government adheres to the concept of "frugality in all undertakings" by repairing, reorganizing, and repainting office furniture (including office chairs) that meetๆฅๅบ (scrapping) standards but are repairable for continued use. For example, in the first half of this year, the office repaired and reused 367 units (sets) of office furniture and facilities, saving approximately 467,000 yuan in procurement funds, with "waste reuse" costing only 10% of the cost of new purchases. This practice not only extends the service life of office chairs but also significantly reduces fiscal expenditures, reflecting an approach to efficient resource utilization.
II. Corporate Participation: Second-hand Circulation to Reduce Resource Waste
Hunan Second Tree Recycling Furniture Co., Ltd. promotes the circulation and reuse of second-hand office chairs through a full-chain recycling service. For instance, a well-known domestic food delivery company purchased 310 Ergohuman Gold Touch b ergonomic chairs from the company in one go, and Hunan Topvision Cloud Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. also purchased hundreds of sets of second-hand office furniture. These cases demonstrate that by purchasing high-quality second-hand office chairs, companies can not only meet practical needs but also reduce procurement costs while minimizing resource consumption and carbon emissions associated with the production of new furniture, forming a virtuous cycle of "cost savings - waste reduction - environmental sustainability."
III. Policy Regulations: Clear Lifespan to Enhance Asset Efficiency
The "Configuration Quota Standards for General Office Equipment and Furniture in Hunan Provincial Administrative Institutions" stipulates that general office furniture that has not reached the minimum service life or authorized service life shall not be updated in principle, except in cases of damage that cannot be repaired; if it has reached the minimum service life but is still usable, it shall continue to be used. This policy sets a threshold for service life, avoiding resource waste caused by premature replacement while enhancing the efficiency of state-owned asset utilization, providing institutional guarantees for the conservation of office chairs.
In summary, Hunan Province has constructed a full-chain office chair conservation system covering "repair - circulation - management" through government demonstration, corporate participation, and policy guidance, reducing administrative costs and promoting the construction of a resource-conserving society.
