Huawei R&D Office Chair
The office chairs used in Huawei's R&D department have undergone multiple replacements, with different chairs being used at different stages.

In the early days, when Huawei was in its fledgling startup phase, employees used wooden office chairs. These chairs had a simple structure and low cost, aligning with the company's limited financial resources and constrained circumstances at the time, and were able to meet employees' basic needs for office seating postures.
As the company grew, after 2000, Huawei moved into the Bantian Base in Longgang. At this point, employees started using leather sofa chairs with wheels, which were the same as the boss's chairs. The design with wheels increased office flexibility, making it easier for employees to move around within the office area. The leather sofa chairs, to some extent, enhanced office comfort, reflecting the company's emphasis on employees' office experience after its development.
More than a decade later, by mid-2015, Huawei uniformly replaced the original leather sofa chairs with ergonomic chairs. Among them, the Yongyi Mengke ergonomic chair produced in Anji, Zhejiang, was the same model used by Huawei employees. Based on ergonomic design, this chair provides comprehensive support from the head and neck to the lower back and buttocks, helping to alleviate physical fatigue caused by long hours of office work and prevent occupational diseases. In addition, it features patented technology with a wire-controlled self-adjusting chassis that can automatically adjust the chair's support force and angle according to the employee's sitting posture and weight, further enhancing comfort and convenience in use.
In addition to the aforementioned common office chairs, there are claims that Huawei uses the well-known Steelcase office chairs in its Egyptian office building, with the same model selling for over 10,000 yuan on JD.com. This shows that Huawei may choose office chairs of different grades in its office spaces in different regions according to local needs and budgets. There is also information indicating that Huawei uses Yichao office chairs, but relatively little information is available about the specific usage of this type of office chair at Huawei. Overall, the replacement history of Huawei's R&D office chairs reflects the company's growth and its continuous improvement in caring for employees' office environments and health.
