How to Ship Office Chairs
Admin October 13, 2026
You can refer to the following methods for shipping office chairs:

Selecting Logistics Companies
- Ordinary computer chairs: These are relatively lightweight and can be packed in cardboard boxes and sent via express delivery services such as ZTO, YTO, SF Express, etc. These express companies have extensive service networks that can meet the shipping needs of most regions and offer relatively fast delivery speeds.
- Heavy chairs such as executive chairs: You can choose branded logistics providers like Deppon (usually requiring self-pickup), Aneng, Yuancheng (which can deliver to the ground floor in urban areas), etc. These logistics providers have rich experience in transporting large items and can offer more professional services.
- Shipping to remote areas: For places like Xinjiang and Tibet, ordinary postal parcels are the only option. A 100-kilogram chair can be delivered to townships for 60 yuan, but it may take five to six days. Although the speed is relatively slow, it ensures that the items can reach remote areas.
Packing Precautions
- Packing material selection: If there are packing materials specifically designed for the chair, that would be ideal. For ordinary computer chairs, cardboard boxes can be used for packing. For large chairs, the chair legs can be disassembled, and the corners can be wrapped with multiple layers of bubble wrap, which not only prevents damage from falls but also reduces the shipping cost based on volume.
- Foam pad inspection: Ensure that the foam pads inside the product are properly placed. Remind the sender to pay attention to the condition of the air cushions to prevent dents on the received goods and ensure that the chair is not damaged during transportation.
Other Considerations
- Signing a contract: First, find available logistics companies online, confirm service details and shipping costs, and then sign a transportation contract to avoid issues with claiming compensation for damaged items during transit. Arrange for the delivery person to pick up the goods at the agreed time and fill in the tracking number.
- Negotiating shipping costs: You can request that the furniture be unloaded at the same time as it is loaded onto the vehicle. Different companies have different shipping cost calculation methods, so adjust the implementation according to the actual situation. If you have any questions, consult customer service in advance. Check that the invoice price matches the bill content before proceeding to the next step.
- Confirming transportation conditions: Ask the logistics provider whether they can enter the designated door or if there is an elevator available at home to ensure that the chair can be moved smoothly.
- Scheduling: If you are not in a hurry, you can arrange for storage and moving a few days later to prevent long delays due to holidays causing the express delivery to not reach its destination directly.
- Insurance issues: Consider insurance issues. Before making the payment, ask about the availability of insured shipping options and their associated cost details to provide protection for the chair during transportation.
- Inspecting and signing for goods: After packing the chair, hand it over to the courier. When signing for the delivery at home, inspect the goods first before signing. If any problems are found, promptly provide feedback to the courier for handling.
