How to Ship Office Chairs

Admin October 19, 2026

Shipping office chairs can be accomplished by selecting an appropriate logistics company, properly packing the chairs, and paying attention to relevant matters.

Selecting a Logistics Company

  • Ordinary computer chairs: These are relatively lightweight and can be packed in cardboard boxes for shipping. You can choose logistics companies such as ZTO, YTO, or SF Express.
  • Heavier chairs like executive chairs: For these, you can opt for branded logistics providers such as Deppon (usually requires self-pickup), Aneng, or Yuancheng (which can deliver to the ground floor in urban areas).
  • Large furniture items: SF Express offers a card-based air freight service where a courier will visit to measure dimensions and estimate shipping costs. Wooden pallets and cardboard boxes are mandatory for packaging. Huolala provides dedicated truck services but does not offer packaging. Didi Freight can quickly arrange vehicle delivery.

Packing Considerations

  • Disassembly and protection: When packing, disassemble the chair legs and wrap the corners with multiple layers of bubble wrap. This not only prevents damage but also reduces shipping costs based on volume.
  • Foam padding protection: The key to protecting the product lies in the proper use of internal foam padding. Remind the sender to check the air cushions. If the air cushions are damaged, the imbalance in air pressure may cause the chair to be flattened, resulting in dents upon receipt.

Other Considerations

  • Choose a reputable company: Select a shipping company with complete licenses and a good reputation. Before handing over the items, check the business license, contact the company directly, and carefully read the contract terms. Clarify any uncertainties on the spot, request revisions to unreasonable clauses, and terminate the business if revisions are not made. Do not rely solely on verbal promises.
  • Fill out the form carefully: When filling out the form, provide detailed addresses for both the sender and recipient. Ensure that the staff fills in important information such as the item name, total weight, and total number of pieces.
  • Insure valuable items: When shipping valuable or fragile items, choose an insured shipping method and fill out an "equal-value insurance contract" to clarify liability for breach of contract.
  • Consider practical circumstances: You can request that the furniture be loaded and unloaded simultaneously to save costs. Different companies have different freight calculation methods, so consult customer service in advance. Check that the invoice price matches the bill content before proceeding. Ask the logistics provider if they can enter a specified door and whether there is an elevator at home. If you are not in a hurry, you can arrange forๆฌ่ฟ (handling) a few days later. Consider insurance issues and ask about insurance options and cost details before making payment.
  • Inspect upon delivery: When signing for the delivery at home, inspect the items before signing. If any problems are found, promptly report them to the courier for handling.
