How to Remove the Five Legs of an Office Chair
The five legs of an office chair can be removed in the following two ways:

Method 1: Remove by Tapping the Pneumatic Rod
First, turn the office chair upside down steadily so that it is suspended in the air, ensuring sufficient and safe operating space. At this point, the central part of the office chair will be exposed, with the pneumatic rod being the key component connecting the five legs and the chair body. Prepare a hammer and gently tap the central pneumatic rod with the hammer. During the tapping process, pay attention to applying a moderate and even force. Do not tap too hard to avoid damaging the pneumatic rod or other parts of the chair body. Tap the center position little by little in a continuous manner. After tapping a few times, observe whether there are any signs of loosening between the five legs and the chair body. With continuous tapping, the connection between the five legs and the pneumatic rod will gradually loosen, and eventually, they will separate. This method is relatively simple and straightforward, but it requires a certain amount of patience and care to avoid damaging the components due to improper operation.
Method 2: Remove by Tapping Each Leg Separately
Use a rubber hammer for the operation. If you don't have a rubber hammer, an ordinary hammer can be used as a substitute, but using an ordinary hammer will generate more noise. When starting the removal, tap the five legs of the star-shaped base upwards one by one. Through the vibrations generated by tapping, the connection between the star-shaped base and the gas spring will gradually loosen. When tapping each leg, ensure that the tapping force is even and tap from different angles to ensure that the star-shaped base is evenly stressed and can be separated from the gas spring more easily. After the star-shaped base and the gas spring are successfully separated, tap the base steel plate with the rubber hammer again to loosen the connection between the gas spring and the base. Similarly, pay attention to the force and angle when tapping to avoid damaging the base. After multiple taps, the gas spring and the base will gradually separate, thus completing the removal of the five legs of the office chair. This method requires tapping in steps and is relatively meticulous in operation, but it can separate each component more precisely and reduce unnecessary damage.
