How to Assemble Office Chairs
The assembly of an office chair should be carried out in a bottom-up, step-by-step fixed order. The specific steps are as follows:

Install the Casters and Gas Lift
Attach each caster to one of the five legs of the chair base, ensuring a tight fit between each caster and the base interface to prevent looseness. After installation, insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair base, ensuring the bottom of the gas lift is fully embedded and does not wobble. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height and must be kept vertical to ensure safety during subsequent use.Secure the Base Plate and Seat
Place the base plate on the bottom of the seat, align the screw holes, and secure it with the provided screws. It is recommended to tighten the screws in a cross pattern (e.g., tighten the diagonal screws first, then gradually tighten the remaining screws) to ensure a firm connection between the base plate and the seat, preventing uneven stress distribution that could lead to looseness. The base plate usually integrates the height adjustment control mechanism, so check the flexibility of its moving parts during installation.Connect the Backrest and Seat
Align the connecting components of the backrest and seat, and secure them with clips or screws (refer to the product manual for the specific method). After connection, lift the upper part of the assembled seat, align the center hole of the base plate with the top of the gas lift, and press down vertically until fully embedded. Pay attention to the compatibility between the gas lift and the base plate in this step to avoid damaging the components by forcing the press.Install the Armrests and Headrest
- Armrest Installation: Taking the 1011A model as an example, insert the A/L screws into the connection holes of the armrests and seat according to video instructions, place the washers in sequence, initially secure them, and then tighten the screws one by one. Keep the armrests level during installation to avoid tilting, which could affect comfort.
- Headrest Installation: Insert the headrest bracket into the reserved hole at the top of the backrest. A clicking sound indicates that it is properly installed. Some headrests require further securing with screws, so follow the manual instructions.
Precautions:
- Before assembly, check that all components are complete to avoid interruption due to missing parts during the process.
- The tightening force of the screws should be moderate. Over-tightening may cause the screws to strip, while under-tightening affects stability.
- After installation, test all functions of the seat (such as height adjustment, rotation, and reclining) to ensure they work properly and there is no abnormal noise or jamming.
