How to Assemble an Office Chair
Follow these steps to assemble an office chair. Note that specific details may vary slightly depending on the model:

Install the Chair Wheels and Gas Lift Insert each of the five or more chair wheels into the assembly holes of the five-star base, ensuring that the catches are fully engaged. Then, insert the thicker end of the gas lift vertically into the central hole of the five-star base. For some models, you can directly place the gas lift into the middle hole. Make sure the gas lift is in tight contact with the base and does not wobble.
Secure the Seat Base and Cushion Place the seat base on the back of the cushion, align the screw holes, and initially screw in four long screws (or screws labeled as B) 3-4 turns to avoid misalignment caused by tightening them all at once. After the initial fixation, tighten the screws one by one in a diagonal sequence to ensure a firm connection between the seat base and the cushion. Note that the direction of the seat base should match the functional area of the cushion (e.g., the adjustment buttons should face forward).
Connect the Backrest and Cushion
- If the backrest has a snap-on design, align the bottom of the backrest with the installation slots on both sides of the cushion armrests and press down vertically until you hear a 'click' sound.
- If it is secured with screws, use three M8 screws to pass through the installation holes on the back of the backrest and tighten them with the cushion bracket. For some models, first use C screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest bracket, and then use D screws to lock the backrest and the cushion bracket together with a wrench to ensure there are no gaps at the connection.
Install the Armrests Press and hold the adjustment button below the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the bracket holes on both sides of the cushion respectively, and push them to the limit position before releasing the button to lock them. For screw-fixed types, flip the chair seat so that the bottom faces up, and use screws to secure the armrests to the cushion bracket. Note that the directions of the left and right armrests should be symmetrical.
Install Additional Components
- Footrest: Align the footrest bracket with the installation holes at the front of the cushion, insert it vertically, and secure it with the provided screws.
- Headrest: Align the bottom of the headrest with the middle slot at the top of the backrest and press it gently until it is fully embedded, or use E screws to pass through the fixed catches and lock them with the chair back. For some models, insert the headrest into the reserved holes on the backrest installation plate, adjust it to a comfortable height, and then secure it.
Precautions:
- Check the list of accessories before installation to avoid missing screws or components.
- Tighten the screws in stages. First, perform initial fixation and then tighten them one by one to prevent component misalignment.
- After installing the gas lift, test whether the lifting function works normally to avoid jamming.
- For complex steps, it is recommended to refer to the model-specific instruction manual or watch video tutorials on platforms like Luban Home to ensure proper operation.
