How to Assemble an Office Chair
The steps for assembling an office chair are as follows:

Install the casters and chair base
Align each caster with the mounting holes on the chair base, press firmly or rotate to secure them, ensuring each caster is firmly installed. After installation, insert the gas lift vertically into the central hole of the chair base, ensuring the bottom of the gas lift fits snugly against the base to prevent loosening. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height and must be kept vertical to ensure safe subsequent use.Secure the base plate and seat
Place the base plate on the bottom of the seat, paying attention to its orientation (usually indicated by markings or grooves for alignment). After aligning it with the screw holes on the seat, use screws to initially secure it. Key operation: First, screw each screw in by 3-4 turns to ensure the base plate is accurately positioned before tightening them one by one to prevent the base plate from tilting due to unilateral force. This step requires using the matching screwdriver with moderate force to prevent slipping.Connect the backrest and seat
After the seat is fixed, proceed with installing the backrest. First, use two screws to pass through the bottom of the armrest brackets and secure the connection between the bottom of the backrest and the armrest brackets. Then, align the mounting holes at the back of the backrest with the holes on the seat bracket and use two wrenches (or one wrench and a screwdriver) to lock the screws in place. Note: When locking, tighten the screws on both sides simultaneously to ensure a firm connection between the backrest and the seat bracket without wobbling.Install the gas lift and seat assembly
Align the assembled seat part with the top of the gas lift and insert it vertically into the hole in the base plate until you hear a 'click' sound or feel it is properly seated. Then, place the seat assembly (i.e., the entire seat) vertically on the gas lift, ensuring the piston part of the gas lift fully enters the receiving hole in the base. This step requires checking the perpendicularity of the gas lift and the base to prevent malfunctioning of the height adjustment due to tilting.Install the armrests and headrest
When installing the armrests, press the button below the armrest surface (some models may require rotation or pushing/pulling) and insert the left and right armrests into the holes on the armrest brackets respectively until you hear a 'click' sound indicating they are properly installed. For the headrest installation, place it in the middle at the top of the backrest, press the headrest mounting area to make it fit against the backrest, then use screws to pass through the headrest fixing clips and the holes on the backrest, first screw them in by 3-4 turns to adjust the position, and then tighten them one by one. Tip: The height of the headrest can be adjusted according to needs, and before installation, ensure the clips are aligned with the holes.
Precautions:
- Before assembly, check that all accessories are complete to avoid having to redo the work due to missing parts halfway through.
- When tightening screws, do it in stages to prevent deformation of components due to excessive unilateral force.
- After installing the gas lift, test the height adjustment function to ensure smooth piston extension and retraction without jamming.
- If there are left-right differences in the backrest or armrests, distinguish the installation directions according to the markings or instructions.
