Horse-Riding Stool Office Chair
The "horse-riding stool office chair" usually refers to the "Capisco chair," a seat developed by Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik in collaboration with the Hร G brand. Its English name is Stylechair, also known as the Capisco horse-riding chair.
Design Inspiration and Structural Features
The design of the Capisco chair is inspired by equestrian sports, featuring a saddle-shaped cushion structure that is lower in the middle and higher on the sides. When seated, the hip bones automatically open, and the thighs naturally slope downward at a 45-degree angle. This design forces the pelvis to tilt forward, maintaining the natural curve of the lumbar spine, which not only corrects posture but also provides spinal support.
Functional Features
- Multi-Posture Sitting: The Capisco chair offers a variety of sitting positions, allowing for forward, backward, and sideways sitting, much like changing positions while riding a horse. This effectively prevents muscle stiffness, making it more comfortable for users during long periods of office work.
- Forked Design: Its unique forked design frees up the thigh blood vessels, preventing poor blood circulation due to prolonged pressure, thus reducing the likelihood of leg numbness even after sitting for extended periods.
- Adjustable Structure: The chair features an adjustable height and tilt angle with a forward-tilting structure, accommodating both standing desks and regular desk heights to meet the needs of different work environments.
Size Options
- Small: Suitable for individuals between 1.2 meters and 1.7 meters tall, paired best with desks ranging from 68 to 85 centimeters in height.
- Medium: Suitable for individuals between 1.4 meters and 1.85 meters tall, requiring desks at least 70 centimeters in height.
Price and Warranty
The price range for Capisco chairs is wide, spanning from 1,000 to 5,000 yuan. Among them, high-end products from the Norwegian Hร G brand offer a warranty of up to 10 years.
Honors and Awards
The design of this product has received awards such as the German Red Dot Design Award and the IF German Industrial Design Award, recognizing its design philosophy and quality.
