Home Office Chair Fixation

Admin October 17, 2026

The installation steps for fixing a home office chair are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Chair Wheels and Pneumatic Rod Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes of the five-claw base, ensuring that each wheel is fully embedded and free from looseness. After flipping the five-claw base, vertically place the thicker end of the pneumatic rod against the center hole of the five-claw base and gently press it until it is fully inserted. Pay attention to the direction of the pneumatic rod in this step; the thick end is the bottom, and the thin end is the top. Avoid installing it backward, which would prevent the seat from being raised or lowered.

Step 2: Secure the Base Plate and Seat Cushion Place the base plate on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the base plate (usually marked or with grooves corresponding to the seat cushion structure). After aligning the four screw holes, lightly tighten the four screws 3-4 turns in sequence, and then tighten them one by one. Use a Phillips screwdriver for this step, ensuring that the screws are tightened but not over-tightened to prevent cracking of the base plate or seat cushion.

Step 3: Connect the Seat Cushion and Pneumatic Rod Align the center hole at the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the pneumatic rod and press down vertically until it is fully inserted into the hole in the base plate. At this point, the seat cushion should be able to be raised and lowered via the pneumatic rod. If there is any jamming, check whether the holes are aligned or whether the pneumatic rod is damaged.

Step 4: Install the Backrest and Armrests Align the two sides at the bottom of the backrest with the armrest installation positions on both sides of the seat cushion and insert them. First, use two C screws (usually short screws) to pass through from the bottom of the armrest bracket to secure the bottom of the backrest. Then, align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion bracket and use two wrenches to lock and secure them with D screws (usually long screws), ensuring that the backrest and seat cushion are firmly connected without any wobbling.

Step 5: Secure the Armrest Surfaces Press the button below the armrest surface (some models require pressing), and insert the left and right armrests into the holes in the armrest brackets respectively. A clicking sound indicates that the buckles are in place. For some office chairs, the armrest surfaces can be further secured by pressing inward; follow the instructions for operation.

Step 6: Install the Headrest Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest, press the headrest installation area to embed it into the backrest, and use two screws to pass through the headrest fixing buckles. Lightly tighten them 3-4 turns first, and then tighten them one by one. In this step, ensure that the headrest is perpendicular to the backrest to avoid tilting, which would affect comfort during use.

Precautions: Keep all components clean during the installation process to prevent debris from entering the holes. When tightening the screws, operate symmetrically to prevent uneven local stress. If the buckles cannot be embedded or the screw holes are misaligned, recheck the orientation of the components or contact after-sales service. Do not force the installation.
