High-End Office Chair Tutorial

Admin October 13, 2026

The installation of a high-end office chair can be carried out by referring to the following steps:

I. Understanding the Components Common accessories for high-end office chairs include casters, five-star bases, gas cylinders, seat plates, chair seats, armrests, backrests, and headrests. Before installation, check the accessory list to ensure all parts are complete and undamaged. For example, check the gas cylinder for air leaks, ensure the casters rotate smoothly, and confirm that the seat plate screws are complete.

II. Preparing Tools The main tool is a screwdriver (usually cross-head or flat-head), and some models may require an Allen wrench. Using an electric screwdriver is recommended to improve efficiency, but be sure to control the torque to avoid stripping screws or damaging parts.

III. Installation Steps

  1. Installing the Five-Star Base and Casters Insert the casters into the holes of the five-star base; some models may require twisting to insert. Press or rotate firmly during insertion to ensure a tight connection between the casters and the five-star base, preventing future loosening.

  2. Installing the Gas Cylinder Flip the five-star base over and insert the gas cylinder into the center hole. Remove the protective cap at the top of the gas cylinder before insertion, as failure to do so may result in installation failure or damage to the parts. The gas cylinder should be inserted vertically to ensure alignment with the center of the five-star base.

  3. Installing the Seat Plate and Chair Seat Place the chair seat face down on a clean surface, align it with the holes on the seat plate, and secure it with screws. Pay attention to the orientation of the seat plate, which usually has markings (such as โ€œFRONTโ€ pointing towards the front of the chair seat). Tighten the screws in stages: first, loosely secure all screws, then gradually tighten them one by one to prevent the chair seat from tilting.

  4. Connecting the Chair Seat to the Gas Cylinder Lift the chair seat with the installed seat plate and slowly lower it onto the top hole of the gas cylinder, ensuring the gas cylinder is fully inserted into the seat plate interface. This step may require two people or the assistance of tools to prevent the chair seat from tipping over.

  5. Installing the Armrests Install the armrests according to the reserved holes on both sides of the chair seat, making sure to distinguish between the left and right armrests (some models have directional markings on the armrests). Initially tighten the screws loosely to leave room for adjustment, facilitating the subsequent installation of the backrest.

  6. Installing the Backrest Align the backrest with the holes at the rear of the chair seat, first connecting the screws at the bottom of the backrest to the armrests (do not tighten them yet), then install the screws at the top of the backrest. After adjusting the angle of the backrest, gradually tighten all screws to ensure the backrest is secure and does not wobble.

  7. Final Inspection After tightening all screws, install the armrest decorative caps (if any). Check that the casters rotate smoothly, the gas cylinder raises and lowers properly, and the armrest adjustment functions work correctly (such as up/down, forward/backward movement, and 360-degree rotation).

IV. Precautions

  • Avoid using excessive force during installation to prevent parts from breaking or screws from stripping.
  • The armrests of high-end office chairs usually support multi-directional adjustment; read the instruction manual before installation to confirm the adjustment method.
  • If the gas cylinder does not raise or lower, check whether the protective cap has been removed or if the installation direction is incorrect.
