High-Back Office Chair Installation
The installation steps for a high-back office chair are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Chair Base and Casters
Place the chair base (with a five-pronged structure) flat on the ground. Align each caster with the assembly holes at the bottom of the chair base, and press or rotate firmly until fully engaged. Ensure that each caster is securely installed to prevent slipping or detachment during use.
Step 2: Install the Gas Lift
Insert the thicker end of the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair base, ensuring it is fully embedded and does not wobble. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height. Check that its surface is free from scratches or air leaks, as these could affect the lifting function.
Step 3: Install the Seat Plate and Seat
Place the seat plate on the bottom of the seat, paying attention to the direction of the adjustment handle on the seat plate (usually facing forward or outward). After aligning the screw holes between the seat and the seat plate, use a screwdriver to screw each screw in 3-4 turns initially (to avoid misalignment from tightening all at once), then tighten them one by one until secure. This step ensures a tight connection between the seat plate and the seat to prevent loosening during subsequent use.
Step 4: Connect the Seat to the Gas Lift
Align the center hole at the bottom of the seat with the top of the gas lift, and press down vertically until fully inserted into the hole in the seat plate. Some chairs may require a slight rotation of the seat to lock it in place. After installation, test whether the seat can rise and fall normally without jamming.
Step 5: Install the Backrest
Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest installation slots on both sides of the seat, and insert vertically while gently shaking to confirm a secure fit. First, use screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets, then align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with the holes on the seat brackets, and tighten the screws with a wrench to complete the locking. This step requires ensuring that the screws are tightened evenly to prevent the backrest from tilting.
Step 6: Install the Armrests
Press the elastic buttons below the armrest surfaces, and align the left and right armrests with the holes on the armrest brackets and insert them. A clicking sound indicates that the buckles are in place. After installation, check that the armrests are level and can move slightly (some designs allow for slight angle adjustments).
Step 7: Install the Headrest
Align the bottom of the headrest with the installation slot at the top of the backrest, and press down vertically until fully seated. Insert screws through the headrest fixing buckles and the reserved holes on the backrest, and tighten the screws to complete the fixation. Some headrests support height adjustment; before installation, ensure that the adjustment track is free from obstructions.
Precautions:
- Before installation, check that all components are complete to avoid missing parts during the process.
- When tightening screws, use tools of the corresponding specifications to prevent slipping or damaging the threads.
- After installation, conduct a comprehensive test of all functions (lifting, tilting, armrest adjustment, etc.) to ensure there are no abnormalities before use.
