Design Philosophy and R&D Background

The Hatu office chair is based on the concept of bridge-style yoga exercise physiology and employs a 4.0 “3D Dynamic Dual-Back” stepless adjustment system. It dynamically fits the shape of the spine to relieve pressure, achieving spine protection, pressure reduction, and posture correction effects. Its development was completed over three years by Sunon in collaboration with the Ergonomics Research Center at Nanjing Forestry University. Through data analysis of nearly 4,000 samples and incorporating yoga-based rehabilitation methods recommended by spine experts, the design ensures both scientific validity and practicality.

Functional Features

1. Considerate Lumbar Support: The manual-automatic stepless adjustment design offers 10 gears with 9 segments and 56mm of stepless shifting, allowing precise positioning based on height and sitting postures such as leaning forward, sitting upright, and reclining. It focuses on supporting the easily fatigued 4th-5th lumbar vertebrae, reducing fatigue from prolonged sitting.
2. 30° Side-to-Side Swing: Supporting the concept of active office work, it allows stretching of limbs and swaying of the body during long periods of sitting, maintaining the spine in a comfortable central zone when picking up items or engaging in interactive discussions, deeply releasing pressure.
3. Air-like Seating Experience: The polymer special mesh backrest features a micro-hole heat dissipation design, enabling 3D micro-air circulation to prevent heat and moisture buildup. The mesh is strong and pressure-resistant, passing 120,000 tests without loosening or deformation, suitable for various body types.
4. Full-Dimensional Adjustment: The backrest has an initial angle of 103° and is equipped with a 10° self-weight recline function, adjusting naturally according to body weight without manual operation. The base has 4 gears of adjustment, supporting a maximum recline angle of 139° to meet午休 (noon break) needs.
5. 3D Headrest and Noon Break Footrest: The headrest supports multi-dimensional adjustment including up-down, rotation, and forward-backward movements, fitting the head's curve.
