Guquan Office Chair Disassembly

Admin October 19, 2026

The disassembly of Guquan office chairs can be carried out with reference to the following steps. Ensure safety and use appropriate tools during the operation:

  1. Removing the Chair Wheels Most office chair wheels are connected to the chair legs through slots. During operation, hold the chair leg with one hand and grasp the wheel with the other hand, then pull it out perpendicular to the slot direction. If the wheel is tightly connected to the chair leg, gently shake the wheel to assist in disassembly, avoiding excessive force that may deform the parts.

  2. Separating the Gas Lift and the Base There are two connection methods between the gas lift and the base:

    • Snap-ring structure: Use snap-ring pliers to grip the edge of the snap ring and pull out the snap ring outward to separate the gas lift from the base.
    • Nut fixation: Use a wrench of the appropriate size to unscrew the nut and then draw out the gas lift. If there is rust at the connection, spray a small amount of rust remover for lubrication. You can also invert the chair, find the connection point between the gas lift and the base, and use tools to loosen the snap ring or unscrew the screws before pulling out the gas lift.
  3. Disassembling the Seat and the Backrest The seat and the backrest are usually fixed to the gas lift with screws. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws connecting the seat, backrest, and gas lift to separate the components. If the backrest is of an integrated design, first find the connecting screws between the lower part of the backrest and the seat surface, unscrew them, and then separate the backrest from the seat surface. Be careful to keep the screws during operation to avoid losing them.

  4. Removing the Armrests The armrests are fixed to both sides of the seat surface with screws. Find the connecting screws between the armrests and the seat surface, use a screwdriver to unscrew them one by one, and then remove the armrests. If the screws are rusted, spray rust remover and wait for 5-10 minutes before operating to avoid stripping the screws due to forced disassembly.

  5. Removing the Casters The casters are directly snapped into the roller seats of the base. Pull them out forcefully outward. If they are tightly stuck, you can gently pry the edges of the casters with a screwdriver to assist in disassembly. Be careful to protect the base during disassembly to avoid scratching the surface. If the screws are rusted, follow the above rust removal method.

Precautions:

  • Prepare tools before disassembly: screwdrivers, wrenches, snap-ring pliers, rust removers, etc.
  • Wear gloves during operation to avoid scratches or pinches.
  • Place the disassembled parts in order for easy subsequent assembly.
  • If you encounter complex structures or parts that cannot be disassembled, it is recommended to refer to the product manual or contact after-sales service.
