Grid Office Chair Installation
The installation of a grid office chair should be carried out step by step according to the basic process, with attention to detail specifications. The specific steps and key points are as follows:

I. Basic Installation Process
Install the Casters and Five-Star Base
- Align the casters with the slots on the five-star base (bottom support) and press firmly until they are fully seated, ensuring the casters can rotate 360 degrees freely. If the casters are not installed securely, the chair may wobble or get stuck when moving.
- Flip the five-star base upside down to prepare for the installation of the lift rod.
Secure the Lift Rod and Seat Pan
- Insert the lift rod vertically into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring it is inserted deeply enough (usually indicated by a clicking sound or when it can no longer be inserted).
- Attach the seat pan (the component connecting the cushion to the lift rod) to the top of the lift rod, ensuring the pan is aligned with the cushion to avoid misalignment during subsequent installation.
Assemble the Backrest
- Align the backrest frame (the metal frame supporting the grid backrest) with the mounting holes on the rear of the seat pan and secure it temporarily with screws.
- Cover the frame with the grid backrest (the mesh part), align the screw holes, and tighten them with the provided screws. Note that the screws should be used according to the purposes indicated on the packaging to avoid improper fixation due to mixed use.
Install the Armrests and Decorative Parts
- Align the armrests on both sides with the mounting holes on the sides of the seat pan, paying attention to the direction of the armrests (usually marked with left and right indicators), and secure them with screws.
- Check that all screws are tightened, and finally attach the decorative parts (such as plastic caps or metal pieces) to cover the screw holes and enhance aesthetics.
II. Key Considerations
Tool and Accessory Preparation
- Before installation, prepare tools such as screwdrivers (usually cross-head or flat-head) and wrenches, and check the accessory list to ensure all screws, casters, and other components are complete.
- If any accessories are missing or damaged, contact the seller promptly for replacement to avoid structural instability caused by forced installation.
Refer to the Instruction Manual or Video
- Before installation, it is recommended to watch the installation video provided by the seller or read the instruction manual carefully, confirming the order of steps multiple times, especially the installation direction of the backrest and armrests.
- If the video or manual is unclear, contact the seller for more intuitive guidance to avoid rework due to operational errors.
Stability Check
- After installation, shake the chair to test the firmness of the connections between components, especially the casters, lift rod, and backrest.
- Adjust the lift rod to a suitable height, sit on the chair, and test for stability, ensuring there are no unusual noises or looseness.
III. Common Problem Handling
If problems such as casters not fitting or screw holes not aligning occur during installation, do not force them. Check if the components are installed incorrectly or have defects. If you cannot resolve the issue on your own, it is recommended to pause the installation and contact the seller's technical support to avoid damaging the chair structure.
