Gree Office Chair Assembly
Admin October 10, 2026
The following general steps can be referred to for the assembly of Gree office chairs. Please refer to the instruction manual for specific details:

Preparation before Assembly
- Organize tools: Prepare basic tools such as a cross-head screwdriver, an adjustable wrench, and a rubber mallet.
- Check components: Ensure that all parts including the chair base, gas lift, seat, backrest, armrests, headrest, and screw pack are complete. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact after-sales service immediately for replacement to avoid hindrance during subsequent assembly.
Install the Chair Base and Gas Lift
- Place the chair base flat on the ground with the central hole facing upwards to prevent difficulty in inserting the gas lift due to tilting.
- Insert the gas lift vertically into the central hole of the chair base and press gently until it is fully embedded. Pay attention to the installation direction of the dust cover at the bottom of the gas lift (usually marked with 'UP' or an arrow pointing upwards) to prevent dust from entering and affecting its service life.
Secure the Seat
- Align the mounting hole at the bottom of the seat with the top of the gas lift and press down slowly until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating that the catch is locked. For chairs with adjustable tilt functions, install the tilt control handle simultaneously, usually located on the right side of the seat, and secure it with screws.
Connect the Backrest and Armrests
- Backrest Installation: If it is a pre-assembled type (the backrest is already connected to the seat via hinges), adjust the angle to vertical. If it is a separate type, use screws to fix the backrest to the metal bracket at the rear of the seat. Ensure that the screws are tightened with appropriate force to avoid slipping.
- Armrest Installation: Align the screw holes on both sides of the seat and tighten them with the provided screws. After installation, check the symmetry of the left and right armrests to ensure comfortable use.
Install Additional Components
- Headrest Installation: Insert the rod of the headrest into the reserved hole at the top of the backrest and rotate it to the desired height and lock it.
- Lumbar Support Installation (if applicable): Fix it to the middle of the backrest using Velcro or catches and adjust its position as needed.
- Caster Installation: Press the casters firmly into the holes at the ends of the chair base until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating completion. After installation, check that the casters rotate smoothly.
Post-assembly Inspection and Adjustment
- Structural Stability: Shake the chair to test for looseness at the connections, focusing on the joints between the backrest and seat, and between the armrests and seat.
- Functional Normality: Test the smoothness of the height adjustment, tilt, and rotation functions. If there is any jamming, check whether the gas lift or control handle is installed correctly.
- Safety Details: Ensure that no screws are exposed and that the casters are firmly fixed to prevent scratches on the floor or tipping over during use.
- Adjustment and Optimization: Adjust the tilt force of the backrest, the height of the headrest, and the width of the armrests according to personal habits to enhance the user experience.
Tip: Different models of Gree office chairs may have variations. If you encounter any problems during assembly, it is recommended to refer to the instruction manual provided with the product or contact after-sales service for accurate guidance.
