Genuine Leather Office Chair Peeling
Admin October 16, 2026
Measures such as cleaning the surface, glue repair, using professional repair agents, covering or decorating, daily maintenance, and replacement can be taken to deal with the peeling of genuine leather office chairs.

- Cleaning the surface: If the peeling is minor, with only slight wear or stains, you can first gently wipe the surface with a damp cloth for cleaning. For stubborn stains, spray a cleaner on the stained area and then wipe it clean with a damp cloth. However, be careful to avoid using overly harsh cleaners to prevent further damage to the leather.
- Glue repair: When there are obvious breaks or peeling on the leather surface, you can use transparent glue similar in color to the office chair for repair. Before repairing, clean the peeling area and the surrounding surface to ensure there is no dust or stains. Then evenly apply the glue and place a heavy object on the leather surface to make the repaired area flat. After the glue is completely dry, the repaired area will be relatively firm.
- Using professional repair agents: If the peeling damage is relatively severe, it is recommended to use a professional repair agent that matches the color and texture of the office chair. When using it, follow the product instructions strictly and use an appropriate amount. Too much or too little may affect the repair effect.
- Covering or decorating:
- You can buy a chair cover similar in color to the chair and put it on. This can effectively conceal the peeling phenomenon and also protect the chair.
- If the peeling area is not large, you can use specific glue to stick the peeling part. However, this requires certain manual skills. Be careful when operating to avoid causing greater damage.
- If you have extra cloth at home, you can cut a piece of cloth of an appropriate size to wrap the peeling area, or inlay small ornaments, stick pictures, etc. for decoration to give the chair a new look.
- Daily maintenance: Do a good job of cleaning and hygiene work and avoid the chair coming into contact with corrosive items. You can regularly use a fixed leather protection spray to protect the chair and extend its service life. At the same time, rearrange the position of the chair to avoid frequent touching or being scratched by sharp objects.
- Replacement: If none of the above methods can effectively repair the peeling problem, you can consider replacing the seat cover or directly replacing the office chair.
