Gaomi Office Chair Cleaning

Admin October 16, 2026

The cleaning of Gaomi office chairs can be carried out according to the following steps:

Overall dust removal: Use a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly vacuum the office chair, paying special attention to the chair body and seat cushion, as these areas are prone to dust accumulation. If a vacuum cleaner is not available, use tools such as a feather duster to gently pat and brush away the dust, ensuring that there is no obvious floating dust on the surface.

Cleaning of different materials:

  • Mesh part: If there is flannel on the back of the mesh, be extra careful. First, remove dust with a vacuum cleaner or feather duster. Then, dilute the cleaning agent and spray it on the mesh. Let the cleaning agent stay for a while to make the stains detach from the fibers. After that, gently scrub the mesh with a soft brush or cleaning cloth and rinse it with clean water. If possible, use a high-temperature cleaning machine to extract and dry it; if not, just air-dry it. Note that the metal parts should be wiped clean with a dry cloth to prevent rusting.
  • Seat cushion part: For seat cushions made of sponge material, avoid using excessive water and cleaning agents. First, remove dust with a vacuum cleaner, and then use a damp cleaning cloth dipped in an appropriate amount of cleaning solution to wipe it. After wiping, use a clean damp cloth to wipe away the excess cleaning solution foam and wait for natural drying or use a hair dryer to dry it (be careful not to use too high a temperature).
  • Fabric part: For the backrest or armrests, also use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust. For stubborn stains, spray the cleaning agent and wait a few minutes before wiping. After cleaning the fabric part, ensure that it is completely dry to prevent mold growth.

Detail handling:

  • Chair armrests and legs: Wipe them with a damp cloth. If the stains are stubborn, use a diluted solution of water and dishwashing soap for cleaning.
  • Wheels: After removing the wheels, scrape off the debris stuck in the wheels with a butter knife, and then wipe the stubborn stains with a damp soapy cloth. Before reinstalling, dry the wheels with a paper towel. If there is hair stuck in the wheels, cut it with scissors and remove it with tweezers. When cleaning the gap between the wheels and the cover, use a cotton swab dipped in water to wipe along the crack. Ensure that the wheels are completely dry; otherwise, the moisture will hinder the smooth rolling of the chair.

Stain treatment: Before using rubbing alcohol to remove stains, test the alcohol on an inconspicuous small area (such as the bottom) to ensure that it will not damage the fabric. If the test passes, gently pat the alcohol on the stain, and then wipe away the residue with a damp cloth. Let the chair air-dry naturally. Do not use rubbing alcohol on acrylic fiber upholstery to avoid damaging the fibers or fading the dye. If alcohol is ineffective, try using an enzyme-based stain remover according to the instructions.

Precautions: During the cleaning process, avoid using overly hot water or a hair dryer on a high setting to prevent damage to the materials. When using cleaning agents, apply them in an appropriate amount and evenly to avoid excessive residue. After cleaning, ensure that the office chair is completely dry before putting it back into use to maintain its comfort and service life.
