Futu Office Chair Disassembly and Assembly

Admin October 11, 2026

The disassembly and assembly of the futu office chair can refer to the general steps for disassembling and assembling office chairs, as detailed below:

Disassembly Steps

  1. Separate the Seat and Backrest: If the seat and backrest are separate components, locate the connecting screws at the junction between the backrest and the seat. Use a screwdriver to unscrew them and separate the seat from the backrest. If the backrest is integrated, skip this step.
  2. Remove the Armrests: Armrests are usually fixed to the sides of the seat with screws. Locate the screws and use a screwdriver to unscrew them, allowing you to remove the armrests.
  3. Separate the Gas Cylinder and Base: Completely invert the chair to access the connection between the gas cylinder and the base. In most cases, this connection is secured with a snap ring or screws. Use a tool to release the snap ring or unscrew the fixing screws, enabling you to pull the gas cylinder out from the base.
  4. Remove the Casters: Casters are typically snapped directly onto the caster sockets on the base. You can pull them out with considerable force or use a screwdriver to gently pry the edges to remove them. If the screws are rusted and difficult to remove, apply some rust remover to assist in the operation.
  5. Disassemble the Seat: Invert the chair so that the seat faces downward on the ground. Use a wrench or screwdriver to unscrew or remove the screws on the base, allowing you to detach the base from the chair and freely disassemble the seat. If the seat is fixed to the backrest, disassemble the backrest first before removing the seat.
  6. Disassemble the Chair Legs: Determine the connection method between the chair legs and the base. If it is a threaded connection, use a wrench or wrench pliers to unscrew the two nuts at the connection of the chair legs, allowing you to remove the legs. If it is a snap-fit connection, lift the legs upward while pressing the snap fasteners to easily disassemble them.
  7. Remove the Backrest: Invert the chair and locate the screws between the base and the backrest. Use a wrench or screwdriver to unscrew them and place the screws in a safe area, allowing you to easily remove the backrest.

Assembly Steps (Taking Backrest Assembly as an Example)

  1. Insert the backrest bracket into the slot on the chair base and align the holes on the screw tangents with the holes on the base, ensuring that the screw length matches the application requirements.
  2. Manually rotate the screws until the backrest is tightly connected to the base.
  3. If the chair backrest needs to be re-tightened, follow the manufacturer's instructions to ensure the comfort and safety of the office chair.
  4. After assembling the backrest, invert the chair and test whether the seat and backrest align properly and whether the backrest is securely fixed, ensuring a comfortable, stable, and safe working environment.

Precautions

  • Avoid using excessive force during disassembly to prevent damage to the components.
  • Protect the surface of the chair during disassembly to avoid scratches and wear, and ensure personal safety to prevent accidents.
