Furniture Office Chair Production
The production process of furniture office chairs mainly includes several key steps: frame making, spring and support structure installation, leather and foam material processing, and component assembly.

Frame Making: This is the foundation of office chair production. For regular office chairs, workers place square steel tubes into a hydraulic press and bend them into square bottom cushion frames with rounded corners at the four corners. Then, they weld the support steel plates to the frame openings. Some also use hydraulic-powered machines to bend No. 14 steel tubes into shape to make bottom cushion frames, connecting the ends and welding steel bars in the middle. For swivel office chairs, a sturdy base needs to be welded first. Steel springs are installed from the front, with support frames placed between the springs. After completing the seat frame, the backrest frame of the chair is then welded.
Spring and Support Structure Installation: After the frame is made, the installation of springs and support structures follows. Hook S-shaped springs onto the frame and connect three support steel bars to the springs in opposite directions to complete the internal structure of the bottom cushion. Alternatively, S-shaped steel springs can be hung from the front to the back of the seat frame, with crossbars placed and clamped onto the springs to add extra stability and support.
Leather and Foam Material Processing: This step is crucial for the comfort and aesthetics of the office chair. First, place plastic templates for parts such as headrests and armrests on top of the leather. Use a utility knife to cut out black leather according to the template patterns as the surface material for wrapping the parts. After cutting the leather, glue it onto a harder foam cushion pad and cut out slightly larger foam pads along the size of the leather for making the seat cushion and backrest parts. To ensure comfort, use softer, fluffy foam pads. First, cut them into larger squares and then into connected, non-separated rectangles. Then, mark and pleat-sew them onto the leather at equal intervals to form the basic shape of the seat backrest's leather surface. Finally, sew the leather and decorations of the seat cushion together.
Component Assembly: Wrap the metal frame surface with foam pads, then place the sewn leather cover on top for decoration and fix the cover plate and frame with screws. Connect the height-adjustable armrests, hydraulic rods, gas cylinders, and the bottom support rods of the seat to the metal base to ensure the office chair can be freely raised and lowered. Install the seat wheels and insert the headrest and armrests into specific positions. For swivel office chairs, after the seat is assembled, screw on the plastic cover plate, attach the base, support rods, and support disk, install the hydraulic rod of the lifting valve seat, finally attach the aluminum base and casters, and install the headrest and armrest parts.
