Free Office Chair Collection
Currently, there are no ongoing and universally applicable free office chair collection events, but related events have been held in different regions and periods. Here are the details:
Quanzhou May Day Event: From May 1st to 5th, 2026, Quanzhou will give away over ten thousand folding chairs for free during the May Day holiday. However, this event is quite far in the future, and the chairs being given away are folding chairs, not strictly office chairs. If you have a need and the timing is right, you can pay attention to the event updates in advance and go to the designated location during the event period to collect the chairs on a first-come, first-served basis. But note that the quantity is limited and will be given out until they are all gone.
Singapore Event: This event is for the Singapore region and will end before December 8th, 2024. You can collect free tables and chairs, including office chairs, at Kaki Bukit in Singapore. These tables and chairs are in good condition, although some table tops have small scratches, which do not affect their use. When collecting, please note that the quantity is limited and you must pick them up yourself. If you are in Singapore and meet the requirements, you can go to the location before the deadline to collect them.
Xiamen Jimei Houxi Event: On September 28th, 2024, the event 'Renewing Old Items, Continuing Happiness in Yan' was held at the Central Basketball Court in Puyang, Yannei Village, Houxi Town, Jimei District, Xiamen City. This event provided 15 large pieces of furniture, including office chairs. These office chairs came from various sectors of society and charitable organizations and had been disinfected and simply repaired. The event was open to interested citizens through a pre-registration and first-come, first-served basis, and self-pickup was also required. If you participated in the pre-registration and met the requirements at that time, you had the opportunity to collect a free office chair.
Chuangfugang 'Unemployed' Care Plan: From July 3rd to August 2nd, 2023, Chuangfugang provided 5 free usage vouchers for open office spaces to the unemployed. Each voucher corresponds to 1 day of usage rights, totaling 5 days. The office environment has comfortable office tables and chairs, and the event covers more than 250 office buildings in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Changsha, Chengdu, Ningbo, etc. (excluding Hong Kong). Unemployed individuals need to provide unemployment proof materials to apply. If you were unemployed during the event period and could provide relevant proof, you could apply for these free usage vouchers and indirectly obtain the opportunity to use office chairs.
