Folding Office Chair Spraying

Admin October 16, 2026

The common spraying process for folding office chairs is high-temperature electrostatic spraying. Ordinary spraying and baking paint processes each have their own characteristics, and the choice depends on the usage scenario and cost requirements.

High-temperature Electrostatic Spraying Process: This is a relatively common process in the spraying of folding office chairs. For example, the processing of folding tables and chairs in Shandong uses electrostatic powder spraying. This process can uniformly adsorb the powder onto the surface of the pipe material, and after high-temperature curing, a dense coating is formed. Taking Hongrui's jungle camouflage portable folding tables and chairs as an example, this process is used to adsorb the powder coating through electrostatic force and cure it at high temperature on the surface of the steel plate, forming a heat-resistant, cold-resistant, and highly adhesive paint film. The essence of this process is to establish a physical barrier between the metal and the external environment. Its effectiveness largely depends on the surface pretreatment before spraying, such as phosphating treatment, and the control of the curing temperature. Coatings that have undergone good pretreatment and appropriate curing temperature treatment have scratch-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties, which can effectively protect the metal components of folding office chairs and extend their service life.

Differences between Ordinary Spraying and Baking Paint Processes: Ordinary spraying usually refers to electrostatic powder spraying or self-drying paint, which mainly relies on physical drying or low-temperature baking to form a film. If the process is not properly controlled, phenomena such as orange peel and sagging are prone to occur, and the hardness is relatively low. After long-term use, the surface is prone to wear and whitening. The baking paint process, on the other hand, must undergo high-temperature baking, usually in the range of 180โ„ƒ - 250โ„ƒ, to cause a chemical cross-linking reaction of the coating and form a dense network structure. This structure makes the baking paint have extremely strong adhesion, and its scratch resistance, corrosion resistance, and yellowing resistance are far superior to those of ordinary spraying. However, baking paint has high energy consumption and a long production cycle.

Process Selection in Different Scenarios: In the selection of spraying for folding office chairs, high-end indoor leisure chairs and office chairs often choose the baking paint process to enhance the product's grade and quality and meet consumers' demands for aesthetics and durability. For folding office chairs used outdoors or products in low-cost scenarios, ordinary spraying processes may be used to save costs while still meeting basic usage requirements.
