Folding Office Chair Manufacturing
The manufacturing process of folding office chairs mainly consists of two modes: DIY production of smart folding chairs and automated factory production. The specific processes are as follows:

DIY Production of Smart Folding Chairs
This mode is primarily manual, with galvanized square tubes as the core material. The first step is measuring and marking: Measure parameters such as tube length and hole spacing according to design requirements, and clearly mark cutting lines and drilling points on the tube surface to ensure subsequent processing accuracy. The second step is cutting and drilling: Use an angle grinder or cutting machine to cut the tubes along the marked lines, ensuring the cut surfaces are flat and burr-free; then use an electric drill to drill holes at the marked points, with the hole diameters matching the connecting components (such as bolts) to ensure structural stability. The third step is assembly and adjustment: Assemble the cut tubes into a frame using bolts or welding, install the seat and backrest (usually made of wood or plastic boards), and finally adjust the flexibility of the folding joints to ensure the chair can open and close smoothly.
Automated Factory Production Process
Factory production adopts a modular division of labor, with precision equipment completing each processing step. The injection molding workshop is responsible for producing plastic components (such as chair legs and armrests). Plastic pellets are injected into molds using high-temperature injection molding machines, and after cooling, standard parts are formed to ensure dimensional consistency. The support production workshop uses laser cutting machines or CNC cutting machines to process metal tubes, with cutting accuracy up to ยฑ0.1mm, providing a foundation for subsequent assembly. In the drilling and bending process, drilling machines drill holes at preset positions on the tubes, and bending machines bend the tubes into the designed angles using hydraulic or mechanical force, with strict control over the bending radius to prevent tube cracking. During the painting and coating stage, the tubes are pickled to remove rust, then uniformly coated with anti-rust paint using electrostatic spraying technology, and finally cured through high-temperature baking to enhance surface corrosion resistance and aesthetics. Fabric processing includes cutting and sewing: Cut fabric or leather according to the chair surface dimensions, use a sewing machine to sew the edges and reserve installation holes, and some high-end products add a sponge layer to improve comfort. Final assembly is completed on an assembly line, where workers fix the painted metal frames, plastic components, and sewn fabrics using bolts or clips. After assembly, the chairs undergo quality inspections such as pressure tests and folding life tests. Qualified products are cleaned, packaged, and stored in the warehouse.
The core differences between the two modes lie in efficiency and precision: DIY production is suitable for small-batch customization but relies on manual skills; factory production achieves efficient mass production through standardized processes and automated equipment, with better product consistency and durability.
