Fabric Office Chair Cleaning
The cleaning of fabric office chairs can refer to the following methods. Choose a suitable plan according to your tools and conditions:

Method 1: Using a fabric-specific cleaner
Fabric-specific cleaners are cleaning products designed for fabric materials. They can quickly break down stains without damaging the fibers. When using, evenly spray the cleaner on the stain or the entire seat surface. Wait for 5-10 minutes to allow the cleaning ingredients to penetrate, and then gently wipe with a clean damp cloth. Repeat the operation until the stain is removed. If the stain is stubborn, you can use a soft-bristled brush to lightly scrub, but avoid excessive force that may cause the fabric to fuzz. After wiping, use a dry cloth to absorb excess moisture, and finally place it in a cool, well-ventilated place to dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight, which may cause the fabric to fade or deform.
Method 2: Neutral interior cleaner + manual brushing
If you don't have a professional spray-extraction machine, you can prepare a neutral interior cleaner (with a pH close to 7 to avoid corroding the fabric), a horsehair brush (soft and non-damaging to the fibers), and a vacuum cleaner. Operating steps:
- Spray the cleaner on the horsehair brush and then evenly spray it on the seat surface to ensure coverage of the stained area;
- When manually brushing, keep the brush surface moist to avoid dry brushing that generates static electricity and attracts dust. At the same time, replenish the cleaner to maintain the foam volume;
- Wipe off excess foam with a clean cloth to prevent residue;
- Use a high-power vacuum cleaner (or the vacuum equipment at a self-service car wash), choose a flat nozzle without gaps, and vacuum the residual cleaner area by area in order. Press the nozzle tightly against the fabric surface to prevent air leakage;
- After cleaning, be sure to thoroughly vacuum up the cleaning agent, otherwise it may leave water stains or cause the fabric to harden.
Note: Local cleaning is prone to color difference marks. It is recommended to treat large areas as a whole. After cleaning, it should also be dried naturally in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Method 3: Fabric cleaner + APC cleaner + spray-extraction machine (professional plan)
This method is suitable for deep cleaning and requires a spray-extraction machine (capable of suctioning sewage). Steps are as follows:
- Atomize and spray the fabric cleaner to ensure it penetrates into every corner of the seat to break down stains;
- Use APC (all-purpose cleaner) to generate rich foam to cover the surface. Gently brush with a horsehair brush. The lubricity of the foam can reduce friction damage;
- Use a spray-extraction machine to suction the sewage. Repeat the operation until the extracted water is clear;
- After the seat is dry, it will be clean again. If you don't have a spray-extraction machine, you can use Method 2 instead of the vacuuming step, but the cleaning effect may be slightly inferior.
General principle: Regardless of the method used, ensure that the fabric is completely dry after cleaning to prevent mildew. Regular cleaning (every 3-6 months) can extend the service life of the seat.
