ework Office Chair Installation
The installation steps for the ework office chair are as follows, applicable to most regular models. Please refer to the product manual for specific operations:

Install the casters and chair base Align each caster with the mounting holes on the chair base (five-star base), press firmly until the clips are fully embedded, ensuring each caster is securely installed. Then, insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair base, making sure the bottom of the gas lift is in tight contact with the chair base to avoid wobbling during subsequent use.
Assemble the upper part of the chair body
- Models with armrests: First, fix the armrests to both sides of the seat cushion using screws or clips, ensuring left-right symmetry. Then, connect the chair back to the seat cushion, usually secured with bottom screws or slots. Align the holes and tighten the screws.
- Models with a separate base: If the chair is designed with an independent base, first secure the base to the bottom of the seat cushion using screws, ensuring the screws are tightened without looseness. Then, connect the chair back to the seat cushion through the reserved interface on the base. Some models may require additional installation of fixing plates.
Connect the gas lift to the chair body Align the assembled upper part of the chair body (including the seat cushion, chair back, and armrests) vertically with the top of the gas lift and slowly press down until fully inserted. Some models may require rotating the chair body or pressing the top clip to lock it in place. Listen for a 'click' sound or confirm there is no wobbling.
Install the headrest (if applicable) Insert the headrest into the reserved hole at the top of the chair back and adjust the height according to your needs. Some headrests support multi-level adjustment, requiring you to press the adjustment button or rotate the headrest to a fixed position.
Inspect and adjust
- Function test: Repeatedly raise and lower the chair to confirm the gas lift responds sensitively; rotate the chair body to check if the base operates smoothly without jamming.
- Structural inspection: Shake the chair body to confirm all connections (such as armrests, chair back, casters) are secure; check that all screws are tightened to avoid omissions.
- Safety confirmation: Ensure the gas lift has no air leaks and the chair base is in stable contact with the ground to avoid tilting.
Precautions:
- Before installation, check the parts list to confirm no small parts such as screws or clips are missing.
- For large or heavy items (such as the chair back), it is recommended to have two people collaborate on the installation to avoid scratching the floor or injuring hands and feet.
- If the gas lift is stuck with the chair base, raise the gas lift to its highest position, press the lifting lever with one hand, and shake the seat cushion with the other hand to separate them. Do not forcefully pry it open.
- For hard floors (such as tiles or wooden floors), lay a soft cloth or cardboard to prevent the chair base from scratching the surface.
