Environmental Protection Office Chair Manufacturing

Admin October 12, 2026

The manufacturing of eco-friendly office chairs involves several key aspects, including product supply, material selection, and production processes.

Product Supply and Brands

In terms of product supply for eco-friendly office chairs, numerous brands and manufacturers participate in the market. For example, Minfa Furniture, Baihe Furniture, and Tuanjie Furniture, among others, offer consumers a diverse range of choices. Different brands may vary in product design, functional features, and price positioning to meet the needs of various customer groups.

Material Selection

Eco-friendly office chairs place great emphasis on environmental protection in material selection. For internal fillings, various eco-friendly materials are used, such as high-elastic foam sponge, medium-density foam sponge, and lightweight foam sponge. These materials not only provide good elasticity and comfort but also reduce environmental pollution. For the chair body material, some eco-friendly office chairs use eco-friendly PP material, which is non-toxic, odorless, and recyclable, meeting environmental requirements. Additionally, there are eco-friendly PU staff chairs and other products produced by manufacturers like Foshan Shengdeli Home Furnishings Co., Ltd. PU material also possesses eco-friendly properties and excels in durability and comfort.

Production Processes

The production processes of different types of eco-friendly office chairs vary. Take eco-friendly wooden chairs as an example; their production process is relatively simple. It only requires fixing four wooden boards into a square frame, attaching a long wooden board on one side of the frame, and then laying large wooden boards on top of the two supports to complete the chair quickly. In contrast, the production process of general office chairs is more complex. Workers use hydraulic-powered machines to bend No. 14 steel pipes into shape to make the frame for the bottom cushion, connect the ends, and weld steel bars in the middle. S-shaped steel springs are hung from the front to the back of the seat frame, and crossbars are placed and clamped onto the springs to increase stability and support. After constructing the back frame of the chair, the steel is smoothed, the leather is smoothed and cut according to cardboard templates, and other processes are carried out. It takes multiple steps to complete the production of an office chair.
