Enjoy Office Chair Maintenance

Admin October 19, 2026

If there are issues with the hydraulic rod of the enjoy office chair, you can follow the steps below for maintenance and repair, while paying attention to safe operation:

I. Identifying the Problem Type

  1. Inability to Adjust Height: This may be due to poor internal sealing of the hydraulic rod or a malfunctioning control valve. Poor sealing can lead to hydraulic oil leakage, rendering the height adjustment function ineffective. If the control valve is blocked by impurities or damaged, it can also affect normal height adjustment.
  2. Unusual Noises: This is usually caused by a lack of lubrication in the hydraulic rod or loose components. Insufficient lubrication increases friction in moving parts, generating noise. Loose components may result from long-term use or external impacts, causing screws and other connectors to shift.

II. Targeted Maintenance Measures

  1. Sealing Problem Handling:
    • Invert the chair to ensure it is in a stable position, preventing injury during maintenance.
    • Use tools to carefully disassemble the connection between the hydraulic rod and the seat, checking if the sealing ring is damaged. If the ring is aged, cracked, or deformed, purchase a compatible sealing ring for replacement.
    • After replacement, reassemble the hydraulic rod and seat in the reverse order of disassembly, ensuring a secure connection.
  2. Control Valve Malfunction Handling:
    • Attempt to clean the valve using a clean cloth or cotton swab to remove any impurities.
    • If the height adjustment issue persists after cleaning, the valve may be damaged and require replacement with a new control valve.
  3. Lack of Lubrication Handling:
    • Use professional hydraulic oil or lubricant to apply an appropriate amount to the moving parts of the hydraulic rod.
    • Repeatedly adjust the height of the chair to evenly distribute the lubricant, reducing friction and eliminating noise.
  4. Loose Component Handling:
    • Use a wrench or other tools to check if the screws on the hydraulic rod and surrounding connections are loose.
    • Tighten any loose screws to ensure all components are securely connected.

III. Safety Precautions Maintaining the hydraulic rod of an office chair involves certain risks. Before operation, ensure the chair is in a stable position. If you lack maintenance experience or are unable to resolve the issue, it is advisable to seek help from professional maintenance personnel to avoid personal injury or further damage to the chair due to improper operation.
