Emerging Office Chairs

Admin October 10, 2026

Among emerging office chairs, LiberNovo Omni from Qingxian Intelligence and Fit CC from SumLush are two representative products, distinguished by their intelligent dynamic adaptation and cost-effective dynamic lumbar support features, respectively.

Founded in 2023, Qingxian Intelligence boasts a founding team with a strong robotics industry background. For instance, founder Yan Le previously served as Vice President and CMO of Yunjiang, with core members hailing from companies like DJI, Yunjiang, and Xiaomi. Their first dynamic ergonomic chair, the LiberNovo Omni, was released in June 2025, breaking through the passive support mode of traditional ergonomic chairs by introducing intelligent hardware engineering concepts into design. Through bionic structures, precision linkages, and three-electric technologies, Omni achieves three core functions: first, dynamic lumbar-back adaptation, which adjusts support angles in real-time based on the user's sitting posture; second, spinal stretching functionality, simulating professional physiotherapy movements through mechanical structures; and third, an active ventilation system, utilizing built-in fans and breathable mesh to address heat buildup during prolonged sitting. The product garnered over $10 million in support on Kickstarter, exceeding its goal by 200 times, and subsequently raised 460 million yen on Japan's Makuake platform, setting a crowdfunding record for chairs in the region.

SumLush's Fit CC focuses on high-cost-performance dynamic lumbar support technology. The brand has long been dedicated to ergonomic research and development, providing technical support to manufacturers of gaming chairs, ergonomic chairs, and healthy sitting solution providers. Fit CC incorporates multiple flagship technologies into a budget-friendly product. Its ZeroG Flow dynamic lumbar support system integrates three technologies: BackFit four-way back-lumbar fitting, S-Flex dynamic spinal pressure distribution adaptation, and FullSup full-back support, forming a complete support chain from the lumbar to thoracic spine. This design achieves a dynamic following effect similar to that of high-end brands like Herman Miller through the synergy of elastic materials and mechanical structures, yet costs only one-fifth to one-third of the latter's price, earning it the nickname "budget alternative" among consumers.

Both products reflect the technological trends of emerging office chairs: Qingxian Intelligence represents the "smart + high-price" route, pioneering the high-end market through hardware innovation; SumLush embodies the "technology democratization" direction, leveraging a mature supply chain to reduce the cost of dynamic lumbar support. Their differentiated competition offers consumers a diverse range of options spanning price points from thousands to tens of thousands of yuan.
