Electric Office Chair Warranty

Admin October 09, 2026

The warranty period for electric office chairs typically ranges from 1 to 5 years, depending on the product type and merchant commitments, with a statutory minimum of 1 year, and possibly longer for high-end products.

Warranty Period Duration

According to national mandatory standards, the three-guarantee period for ordinary chairs is 1 year, which is the statutory minimum for quality assurance. However, for special categories of electric office chairs, such as ergonomic chairs and high-end massage chairs, merchants usually offer longer warranty periods, generally ranging from 3 to 5 years, with some brands offering even longer. For example, the ErgoTune Elite L2 electric office chair explicitly provides a five-year warranty service.

Warranty Period Start Date

The warranty period begins on the date the invoice is issued. If the consumer fails to obtain an invoice, the date stated on the sales voucher (such as a receipt or electronic order) shall prevail. This regulation ensures that consumers are clearly aware of the start date of their warranty rights after purchase.

Special Deductions from Warranty Period

During the warranty period, if the product is occupied for repairs or cannot be repaired due to waiting for spare parts, these periods shall be deducted from the warranty period. For example, if a product requires a one-month return to the factory for repairs and a two-week wait for spare parts, the actual warranty period will be extended by 1.5 months accordingly. This rule prevents consumers from suffering losses in their rights due to the repair process.

Warranty Scope and Exceptions

Warranty Scope: It mainly covers quality issues caused by material or workmanship defects (i.e., manufacturing defects) in the product. Consumers have the right to request free repairs, replacements, or returns.
Exceptions: The following situations are generally not covered by the warranty:

  1. Improper use by consumers: Such as damage caused by overloading or impact;
  2. Normal wear and tear and aging: Such as fabric cushion sagging, wheel wear, etc.;
  3. Unauthorized modifications: Unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modification of the product;
  4. Force majeure factors: Damage caused by fires, floods, etc.

Consumers should note that warranty terms may vary by brand or merchant, and they should carefully read the contract or instructions before purchase to clarify specific rights and responsibilities.
