Echo Office Chair Installation

Admin October 16, 2026

The installation of the echo office chair can be carried out by referring to the following two conventional steps:

Method 1: Top-down Installation

  1. Check Components: Before installation, carefully check the component list, which typically includes 5 casters, 1 pressure lift rod, 1 five-star base, 1 control mechanism tray, and 1 seat. If any components are missing or damaged, contact after-sales service promptly for replacement.
  2. Install the Tray: Turn the chair upside down with the bottom facing up. Remove the fixing screws at the bottom of the seat cushion. Align the control mechanism tray with the slots or screw holes at the bottom of the seat cushion. Tighten the screws with a screwdriver to ensure a firm connection between the tray and the seat.
  3. Install the Casters: Align each of the 5 casters with the slots at the ends of the five legs of the five-star base. Press firmly until they are fully inserted to ensure there is no looseness between the casters and the chair legs. After installation, gently shake the five-star base to check if the casters are properly installed.
  4. Connect the Pressure Lift Rod and the Seat: Place the five-star base upright on the ground. Insert the thicker end with a hole of the pressure lift rod vertically into the center hole of the five-star base to ensure a tight connection. Then, align the seat with the installed tray with the thinner end of the pressure lift rod. Slowly press down until it is fully embedded, keeping it vertical to avoid tilting.

Method 2: Bottom-up Installation

  1. Install the Casters and Chair Legs: Press each of the 5 casters into the slots at the ends of the five legs of the chair legs one by one to ensure the buckles are fully locked. After installation, insert the pneumatic rod (pressure lift rod) vertically into the center hole of the chair legs, keeping the rod perpendicular to the ground.
  2. Fix the Base and Seat: Use a screwdriver to align the screw holes of the base (control mechanism tray) with the corresponding holes at the bottom of the seat. Insert and tighten the screws to ensure a firm connection between the base and the seat.
  3. Connect the Backrest and Seat: If the backrest is a separate component, align it with the connection buckles of the seat, press gently until it is fully embedded, or fix it with the matching screws (choose the method according to the design).
  4. Install the Base: Align the base with the installed seat vertically with the top end of the pneumatic rod. Slowly press down until it is fully inserted to ensure there is no looseness between the pneumatic rod and the base.
  5. Install the Armrests and Headrest: According to the design, align the armrests with the screw holes on both sides of the seat and tighten them with a screwdriver. If there is a headrest, insert it into the slot at the top of the backrest or fix it with screws.

Post-installation Inspection: After completing all the steps, conduct a safety test. Sit on the chair, hold the handle of the control mechanism tray with your hand, and adjust the seat height up and down to check if the lifting is smooth. At the same time, gently shake the chair to confirm that all components are firmly connected without looseness or abnormal noises.
